ios 8.1 WIFI not working!

So i have an iphone 4s since ios 8 came out not even 8.0.1/2 my wifi has been completely useless. I have been anticipating this 8.1 update for awhile now hopeful that it may fix my wifi problem but it hasnt... My specific problem is that it cannot even detect the wifi around the area.. when it does which only lasts probably 2 minutes max... ive tried the refrigerator method which only works for a limited time.. Many people i have read online have similar issues.. Incredibly dissapointed apple needs to step up.

I've tried EVERYTHING, spent many, many hours attempting this nonsense and haven't been able to use my iPad Mini for 2 weeks, unless I connect to my Galaxy S4, using it as a hotspot. That, unfortunately is not a solution.

This really has taught me something about early updates-never again.

UNfortunately, new iphone 6 after installing ios 8.1 ....wifi is dead...avtually very very slow ...

PLEASE FIX IT IN THE NEXT VERSION - WHEN I HAD IPHONE 6 AND IOS 8 EVERETYHTING WAS WORKING GOOD

I have the same problem in my iPhone 4s, Even after installing the iOS 8.1.1 beta. It works fine with my home wifi however it is worst with my "Enterprise network" keeps dropping every minute.

If your problem is only with connecting to iTunes via via wifi, reboot your phone and report the problem to Apple.

temporary solution: iOS 8.1 wifi itunes sync and backup

If you are having more general wifi issues, report the bug to Apple.

Iphone 4s, wifi was going in and out, and then it stop connecting. wifi tries to connect, but says unable to connect or incorrect password, and yes I have made sure to use the correct password. I have tried with three different routers and no solution. I have tried a lot of methods listed on the internet, but no solution. I even updated last night to 8.1.1, and set it up as a brand new phone. I was hoping 8.1.1 would fix this, but no. now I am wondering if its a hardware problem on my phone. how can i check if its a wifi antenna problem? I am not in US at the moment so can't go to Apple store.

I also own an iPhone 4S and have no problems with connecting to our Home Network until today! I haven't even updated anything yet. It was working fine this morning. When I went to work, I didn't realize that I wasn't connected to the WiFi until lunch time and when I got home, I can no longer connect to our home network as well. 😟 have tried all the "fixes", but still can't connect . My IOS version is 8.1 (12B411). I don't know what happened, I didn't change anything in the configuration before I started doing all the "fixes".

Same here, still not working w/ ios 8.1.1 update. Stopped working during ios 8.02 usage, updated to 8.1, and haven't been able to use my iPad Mini, since-VERY frustrating. I've tried everything, several times, and thought 8.1.1 would do the job-it doesn't.

Surely there must be some kind of fix for this annoying problem. It renders our devices useless.

Now Five weeks and counting...

Same here, I have tried pretty much everything, resetting, reinstalling... Having upgraded my home internet I have a new router as well. This is quite annoying now, not being able to use wifi. Let us downgrade to ios7 if you cant fix these issues.

I would be THRILLED downgrade to 7.1.2! Like it's said: "You don't know what you have till it's gone!"

I like to get into the Nitty-gritty an OS, but this leaves me flummoxed!
