I'm on several forums. Whenever I've gone to a new forum or website that requires a log-in, if I begin to type in a user name & password, I get a prompt that asks me if I want keychain to remember the password. Except for one forum, that is. The folks that run that forum have suggested that I delete their cookies and empty Safari's cache -- which I've done. But I still do not get the prompt that asks the keychain question. I thought I read somewhere that if this happens, it is a problem with the forum's setting. Is this true? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Eme,

Actually, I've tried it with every browser I have:
Safari, Firefox, IE, Opera, iCab, Netscape -- all with the same results.

I'll pass your notes on to the admin -- although I'm sure Heather will see your post. She's been keeping track.

The Lady Slippers you see in nature by Walden Pond, etc. are our native Cypripediums. They are beautiful. Notice there is a section under Photographs called Cypripedium. You'll find it most active in the Spring when they are in bloom.

Thanks for your help.

It is a nice forum in feel & from what i saw in wc3 well written.

Cool, you have been to Walden, yes it is tiny, this world of ours.
We may very well know each other; )Talk some more in the other

Just wanted to thank everyone who tried to help, and to let you know that the problem has been solved. We found at least part of the answer on another forum from someone who had a similar problem. Based on that information, here's what I did:

Opened Safari's preferences. In Security, I unchecked Java and Javascript. Then I went to the Slippertalk Forum, started logging in, and up came the box asking if I want to store the information for that website in my keychain. I said yes, finished logging in, then logged out. Went back and enabled Java and Javascript. I've had no problem since.

I think it is a work-around for some setting on the forum's end that isn't like what other forums who use the same software have. As noted before, I don't have that problem on the other forums.

However, the problem is solved for me, and I am pleased.

I'm really glad we could figure this out!

We really didn't want to mess with the code, if we didn't have to. Phew!

For all you Mac/Orchid fans - they go hand in hand quite well. I have a great database in Filemaker. : )

Hope some of you stop by, and know I'll be back here the next time we have an issue like this. Thanks for all of your help!
