iCloud Photo Library not syncing

Hi guys,

I have a question.

I am a developer and I've had the iOs 8 betas on my iPhone 4s and iPad 3 since the first one came out.

I've started with iCloud Photo Library since the summer uploading my photos.

Recently I bought an iPhone 6 were I was not able to active Photo Library.

Now I have updated my iPhone 6 and iPad to 8.1, and my iPad started to sync all photos again.

But my iPhone 6 does nothing.

In the Photos app on my iPhone it says 494 files uploading (in Dutch 494 onderdelen uploaden).

But no files are uploaded, and nothing is happening.

I dont have acces to iCloud Photos on icloud.com (also not on beta).

When I check my iCloud storage it says that my Photo Library is 10+ Gb (which is correct).

I anybody else having problems that only 1 device syncs and the other ones are doing nothing?

Is this maybe a problem that it is still on rollout?

I had the same problem, my iPhone synced just fine but my iPad did nothing. Logging out of iCloud and in again on the iPad seems to have fixed the issue.

I'm having big problems with iCloud Photo Library. I'm using an iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air and iMac 27" 2011. Uploading fails on my iPhone whenever I go from wifi to cellular. I know that photos will only upload on wifi at the moment, the problem is when I return to using wifi the photos don't upload. I get an "uploading" notice in the progress bar but nothing happens. The solution I found is to reboot the phone then the photos will upload. Until the next time I go from wifi to cellular when I need to go through the whole process again. I've contacted Apple Support and the only suggestion they have is that I reset settings which I've done. It hasn't helped the problem. Anyone else come across this?

p/s : photos upload fine from iPad air which is on wifi all the time. So the problem is to do with switchover (and back) from wifi to cellular on the phone.

TThis fixed the issue for me too, until, well..,it happened again. I hope a fix comes soon. I really don't want to Dropbox sync or any other options.

I was having a similar problem and when I plugged my iPad in, all my photos started to sync. Thanks for the tip!

I managed to find a way to get it unstuck.

What worked for me was going into the Photos app, tapping Albums, then Recently Deleted, tapping Select, then Delete All.

After that, upload & sync was unjammed and continued as normal. There must have been a buggy photo that was gumming up the works in there.

This is incorrect, the iCloud Photos Library is a syncing function, if you delete one photo from any device or iCloud.com you are deleting it from EVERY device you have connected to IPL..

I made the mistake of uploading hundreds of photos for a project I shot ... With the intention of being able to share them with the client, and being able to pull up a photo from any of my devices.

I cannot share the photos.

I can't even pull up one of the photos on my iPhone or iPad.

I was also very frustrated with my iCloud photo library not syncing, but after I deleted all the photos in " recently deleted" folder, it JUST STARTED WORKING !! I advice people to try this, and it might work for them too ~

But then after all the photos were uploaded to iCloud, some how all the deleted pictures came back, now I have to manually delete them all again... this is BS.
