iOS 8.1 Update the red 1 badge stuck on setting app

Hey,

Just updated my phone to iOS 8.1 and I now have a red badge or notification saying that I have an update or something new waiting that I have not seen.

I am using an iPhone 5s.

Let me know if you have the same problem with iOS 8.1 or have even found a solution.

What would be great if apple highlighted within the settings app where the warning was coming from.

I have never had this problem till I updated to the new software iOS 8.1

Same Here, brand new Iphone 5S 16GB, migrated from Iphone 4s and upgraded to IOS 8.1, annoying red flag. Try to Wipe and Restore from Itunes, Reset all the settings, delete the update from Manage Storage in Settings, nothing. I have too many apps and settings to delete and start a "new iPhone". Wait for official or unofficial solution. Cheers from Argentina

At this point our best bet is to wait for the next update, which should be out in the next few weeks (a guess). Since I doubt Apple reads this dont forget to file a feedback report.

Add me to the "red 1 badge" group. Updated my ipad Air, 1st generation no issue. It just took about an hour hooked up to my MacBook Pro via iTunes. On my iPhone 5S 64 gig, I had to restore to factory settings because the update froze it. Luckily, I ALWAYS back up and sync before updating my iOS! Guess the annoying "1" will go away with the update to 8.1.1! <sarcasm> 🙂

Update on my personal situation - after the latest update to 8.1.1, the red 1 badge on my Settings app has cleared itself.

Sometimes patience can pay off I suppose.

I never did try a RESET ALL SETTINGS, but another user did report that did not work for them.
