I paid for my subscription and up until yesterday was streaming AD-Free on my PC. This morning iTunes updated and now the ADs are back. How do I fix this?

My account shows I have iTunes radio until July 2015. Disappointment for this service aside, it was working fine without any ads. Then on 10/21/14 my PC ran an iTunes update. After it, every two songs, I have dreaded ads.... I've tried re-starting iTunes, ensuring that this PC is Authorized in store and turned off and then back on iTunes Match. Yet I still have ADs streaming. How do I get rid of the ADs?

So ADs started showing up on my iPad and home PC, I'm fed up w/ the lack of attention to this issue from Apple, I've searched for a fix high and low on the internet, and to no avail found nothing

Thank-you Mr. Bacon, for telling me about Amazon Prime Music. I called apple and got a full refund from them. I don't have time/patience to wait around for the developers to figure out that 1. there's an issue and 2. that it needs to get fixed.

Just got off the phone with a senior adviser after having to inform a previous employee that yes this was a thing. Whatever apparently the front line employees at Apple Support have lower quite a bit in quality recently.

I was able to resolve this issue:

(important in this order)

Uninstall iTunes

Uninstall mobile support

Uninstall Bonjour

Uninstall Application support last

Reboot

Download itunes executable from apple.com/itunes

I didn't have to signout or back in again or anything and skipped ~30 songs without any issues.

I am going to listen and give it a try but I have his direct contact info if I need to and will update if this solution doesn't work.

Windows 8.1 64bit, issue started after upgrading to iTunes 12.0.1.26 - have been match ever since it came out.

Hah I just finished typing this and got an ad. Awesome. Well nvm... will update with the response I get.

So I got back with the senior adviser earlier today.

We tried a couple of settings in iTunes, clearing the cache, clearing dialogs - no change.

Then I created a new windows profile to see if the issue was in my appdata associated with my windows user account. It seemed promising but in the end I still got ads.

He has elevated the case more and captured some logs from my iTunes and windows diagnostics to be sent to engineering.

If anyone else has this issue and can tell me your OS,iTunes version, etc I would appreciate it as I am working to build a case with this adviser.

I honestly believe this is a bug in the Windows binary for iTunes 12.0.1.26 ... otherwise there must be some weird registry setting as a fresh profile should have solved any issues. However after spending over an hour combing the registry I didn't run across anything funny and anyways the processing of ADs or no Ads wouldn't be handled in the registry as it would be trivial to spoof and get no Ads while also not paying for match.

Thank you for the reply. My senior advisor said the following:

"I received a follow up email, they’ve escalated my escalation to a senior SSE, should hear back from them soon"

I will mention your OS/versions as well. However I have a hunch... When is your iTunes match set to expire?

You can check this by going to Store -> View Account -> 'iTunes in the Cloud' section -> iTunes Match

Mine is set for Nov 20, 2014... I am wondering if they process this variable incorrectly in the code and somehow set the expiry for Match benefits back a month or something silly.

I honestly cannot think of anything besides this being a bug in the Windows version of the latest iTunes
