I paid for my subscription and up until yesterday was streaming AD-Free on my PC. This morning iTunes updated and now the ADs are back. How do I fix this?

My account shows I have iTunes radio until July 2015. Disappointment for this service aside, it was working fine without any ads. Then on 10/21/14 my PC ran an iTunes update. After it, every two songs, I have dreaded ads.... I've tried re-starting iTunes, ensuring that this PC is Authorized in store and turned off and then back on iTunes Match. Yet I still have ADs streaming. How do I get rid of the ADs?

It would probably help if you could post some of the steps you have exhausted and some information about your particular configuration.

Anyways I have an open support case. Unfortunately the person in charge of my case took a 'leave of absence' and didn't properly turn over my case. I called in the other day asking for an update and got assigned a new senior advisor. She is now on the email thread from the SSE (Site support engineers i think it was) and they requested my match and itunes radio ID. I don't know if they are safe to post publicly or if it would matter at all. You can access it by hitting Ctl while clicking on about iTunes and it will take a second to scroll and then show device SNs, phone IMEIs, and the match and other IDs (which are quite long hex strings).

Anyways my advisor now has my IDs so hopefully that moves this issue along. I recommend contacting apple and getting a case. You will need to escalate it to a senior advisor to get anything done. I will update here if I get any sort of resolution.

A week ago:

  1. turned off iTunes Match,
  2. Clicked "View Account" from "Store" (followed web link from iTunes),
  3. Removed the troublesome computer from "My Devices".
  4. Reauthorized the computer,
  5. Turned iTunes Match back on

I have been listening commercial free for a week now. From what others have said, this might just be a temporary fix, but worth trying every time I get commercials. Only takes a few minutes.

Hello,

I have the same problem, and find something that worked. I skipped around 30 songs, listen to3 on the same station (as I am writting this post) and NO ADD.

Devices

Iphone 5S - No commercial there

2 PC's one with windows 7 - 64, and the other windows 8.1 - 64;

Problem:

I have Itunesmatch and still here ads

Solution:

Enter Itunes -> Store -> Deauthorized this compunter

After

  • Store -> Authorize this Computer
  • Store -> Turn on Itunes match

Hope it works.
