Hi,
I have Yosemite setup on an iMac mid 2011, i7 2600, 256 SSD, 16 GB ram. Plenty of free disk space.
Interface is painfully slow. Even while typing it lags. switching desktops lags as well. Photoshop is slow as ****.
Same Yosemite works great on 2012 Air 😟

I did this and unfortunately, I can not longer boot my iMac into anything but Safe Mode. Trying to figure out why...
Perhaps you are applying it to 'an already fixed' Mac, where Apple has slipstreamed in their own 'fix' and the above-mentioned workaround is no longer applicable? Would be nice if an Apple tech would pop in here and explain if this has been addressed...
