iCloud photo library not updating

I have the the latest iOS (8.1) on my iPhone 6 and have the iCloud Photo Library on.

If I go to photos under iCloud.com, I see 1713 photos. It constantly says its updating, but no new photos appear.

None of the new photos I take on my iPhone 6 show up on iCloud.com. It has been stuck on 1713 for days.

What is wrong? How can I fix?

I have tried turning off iCloud on my phone and turning it back on.

Thanks!

I also updated all my iOS(8.3) devices with the final release iCloud Photo Library as well as Yosemite(10.10.3) Photos app. Everything was going fine while my iPad, iPhone and Mac were all uploading pics and vids to my iCloud library until I noticed on my iPhone 6, after uploading/updating several thousands pics/vids, it basically stopped at about 1100+. It keeps saying it is "uploading" but nothing is happening and nothing is being updated on my iPad. And then I noticed that 5 items are being uploaded on my Mac but again nothing is happening. The pics/vids numbers "match" on my iPad and iPhone (which makes no sense since iPhone has more pics to upload), but they do not match my Mac and all of which DO NOT match iCloud.com Photos. Both my Mac and iPhone continue to say uploading without anything actually happening.

I am worried about turning off and on the photo library setting on my iPhone because it is warning me that all the originals are not on the phone and will be removed (since i had optimized option set). I am also unsure that if I did do that, would actually help and continue the uploads.

Ive been reading that they just keep saying wait and wait for it to do its thing and it will get done but in a final release should it take hours or days for it to complete? Especially when the first 3000+ items were so quick to upload

I am having the same issue.

In my iCloud Photo Library are 1800 photos (if I check Settings > iCloud > Storage).

But my iPhone (and iPad and Mac) is not downloading or uploading any photos.

For me it is stuck since early november last year.

When I go to icloud.com > photos it is stating that my library is beeing prepared.

No luck for me.

I have been in contact with someone from Apple Support (many times), but they didn't help me so far.

I also have this problem, and the iCloud Photo library is now out of beta!

My iPhone (in settings>iCloud>Photos) keeps stating that it has 84 objects to upload but that's all that happens. It just keeps repeating that. I've restated the phone (several times) and that will not work.

Hopefully Apple is aware about this and will try to fix it ASAP. Still, I will write to them about it.

I am having the same issue others are having. Photos aren't uploading despite being on wifi/plugged in/fully charged, tried restarting the photos app and the phone, the progress bar for the upload in the system settings panel disappears shortly after appearing.

My workaround is to plug in the phone to the macbook I am synced with - it is also using the same icloud photo library as the failing ios device. Once the photos are synced to the laptop, they upload just fine to icloud. The first time I tried this, ios reconciled what had happened and said it didn't have anything left to upload - but having to do this a few more times has left the iphone saying it still has to upload these photos.

Really hope apple fixes this soon.

Hello, I hope this can help.

I had the same problem with the new app Photos on my iPad, I love the App on my Mac and IPhone that makes everything synchronized, including the Albums but my iPad was not synchronizing, so I took the risk and TURNED OFF the iCloud Photo Library option in Settings:

Settings/iCloud/Photos/iCloud Photo Library: off

I think the problem was some stuck Low Resolution Photos: Unable to download, the first message said to Remove 72 Low Resolution photos from iPad, I clicked "Remove", the message said the photos will remain on the ICloud Libray.

Then I turned it on again and the option started to prepare photos to download but stop working again so I repeat the steps...

and some hours after I got all my photos synchronized.

Good luck.
