iPad Air 2 WiFi Issues
I'm having WiFi connectivity issues on my new iPad Air 2 (WiFi only). I'm having to turn WiFi off and on to reset my connection. Restarting and restoring hasn't fixed the issue.

So this blog ha been going for two years and still no fix.
come on Apple step up to this issue. It's a real pain.
This is exactly what I am facing! It's so frustrating, every time the Air 2 is in sleep mode for more than 5 mins the wifi still remains but no data passes so I have to toggle the switch on/off to get it working again. This happenw every time without fail on both my 2.4 and 5 Ghz connections! None of the mentioned fixes help and other devices work fine!
I too have noticed the issue. Using iPad Air 2 128 gb, no other devices connected to the sAmerica wifi are having wifi issues, so figured it's the iPad. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Seems to be happening when the screen is locked then unlocked. A simple swipe up to turn off the wifi then back on fixes the issue but just makes for a slight inconvenience. Hoping for a software update soon.
So its not just my one there . Does your wifi drop off everytime you access an app like angry birds? Mine keeps dropping everytime I access an app that needs internet to run making my tablet useless ( ipad air 2 wifi cell 64 )
+1
exactly the same issue here, on 2.4 and 5 ghz. Wifi never works after a short period of time in standby. Very annoying.
Go to Settings on ipad Reset Network settings After Reset you need to enter your Router wireless key Also turn your router off for 30 seconds Also an option for later on Webb site for your Router make check for Firmware update. Cheers Brian

Doesn't work for me, I tried everything I could (except the factory reset), the issue is still there. my router is already updated with the latest firmware and all my other devices work fine on the same wifi network.
My router is a Linksys E4200 v2 .
Is this a iPad Air 2 hardware problem or iOS software version problem?
My issues seem to only be at home where I have a Linksys EA4500 as my router. At my office I have a DLink router and have no issue at all. Now Im curious if it's a Linksys/Apple issue.
I'm having wifi problems as well. New iPad Air 2 wifi only, 64gig. I'm using a Apple AirPort Extreme 5th ten and while I'm not having the wifi drop my throughput speeds are awful. It just can't sustain the stream. Also for me, Safari is a mess. Sometimes when I'm going to a webpage, I'll see the progress bar complete but no webpage. A SWIPE UP and the webpage appears from the bottom as though the webpage is hidden - Safari top section is always visible just the webpage contents.
For those that are seeing no data from webpages, try swiping up and see if the webpage appears.
Try setting your home Linksys EA4500 router to a/b/g/n and 2.4GHz speed and report back if that helps. Try your router without the ac on it and see if that helps
Okay I turned 5GHz off. Network mode was set to 'mixed' otherwise I can set it to b/g only, g only or b only. I'll let you know if it drops.
Same here, I wonder if it happens to all other iPad Air 2 units as well rather than a small portion..
Try it with b/g only and if that works then set router to n only and see if that works.
Unfortunately there isn't an 'n only' mode. It hasn't dropped in the last hour, however my speed has gone from around 35 MBps to now about 8 MBps only my iPad. iPhone, PC, and MacBook are all fine
Same problem. iPad Air 2 wifi 64GB. Connects to wifi works OK for a few minutes than the download speed drops very low. The upload seems to stay consistent. I've followed all the tips of resetting network, etc. It doesn't help. The only solution is to turnoff wifi and turn it back on. I've only had the new iPad for 3 days and beginning to hate it. Seriously considering going back to my iPad3 until Apple gets a fix for this.
