iPad Air 2 WiFi Issues

I'm having WiFi connectivity issues on my new iPad Air 2 (WiFi only). I'm having to turn WiFi off and on to reset my connection. Restarting and restoring hasn't fixed the issue.

I Have found a fix for the Wifi issues for the iPad Air 2!

1. Go to your router set up page and login

2. Locate Wifi Settings and under 5GHZ wifi change the channel from Auto to 44

3. Reboot router

4. Enjoy your iPad Air 2!

Yep, same issue here. Got my new iPad Air 2 yesterday, got it setup, but the wireless connection drops and does not stay connected. Every time I start use the iPad, the connection is not there. Reboot, does not make a difference. Turning on and off the wireless helps, and eventually get a connection. No issues with my iPhone, new Macbook, or other devices. Just the new iPad Air 2. Have the 64gb version.

I have the same issue. So far 3 times today. Turned the wifi off/on and that worked the first time, but had to power off and on last 2 times. Seems to happen after the iPad has been idle and then I unlock it to start using it again. So far it hasn't happened in the middle of something. Wondering if I got a defective ipad or if this a new software feature from Apple?

My issue is that the download speed drops down. Only the download and not upload. The download drops down to 20 KB/S where it should be 1000 KB/S.

I test my iPhone 6 Plus and all is ok. The WIFI speed problem is with my new Ipad Air 2 WIFI.

I have tried reseting my router and reseting network settings and the speed goes back to normal but after few hours the same problem comes back.

Apple has a wifi problem with the Ipad Air 2 --- I've been reviewing various blogs and forums on this issue and there seems to be a problem Apple needs to work out with their new Wifi chipsets that support a/b/g/n/ac --- I bet the new "ac" protocol is just not getting along with routers that are a/b/g/n ... Ive seen a host of different ways of =temporarily fixing= this including: hard resetting the ipad, going into airplane mode and back out again, moving the proxy from off to auto and others... Whatever the fix the wifi slow downs and disconnects always come back. I painstakingly profiled my house for 2.4Ghz (at channels 1, 6 an 11) as well as channels for the 5Ghz range prior to buying my Ipad Air 2 using my daughters Macbook (w/ wifi scanner) and my ipad2... The channels I chose were pretty well isolated and rock solid. My ipad 2 was solid all the time without an issue in any room in the house on the 2.4Ghz band.

However, my Ipad Air 2 has been hit and miss for 3 days on Wifi --- Cmon apple get your software/hardware team cracking on this issue.

BTW -- how about =allowing= a WIFI scanner as an app for the Ipad Air 2 as it would be a great way to profile house with wifi by using an ipad instead of a macbook.

I'm having this same issue with my new iPad Air 2 (cellular 128gb). Basically it seems like when I lock and then unlock the device the wifi shows connected but the internet will not work. I toggle off/on the wifi and it works again. I tried a hard reboot, reseting network settings and rest my router. I just turned off wifi network settings within privacy and I will see how that goes. Very frustrating and I also posted this on Macrumors here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1807786

I'm having the same issue. Brought it home and it didn't recognize my home wi-fi. Was leaving for a trip so didn't have time to work on it. Have used it without any problems from the hotel wi-fi and my phone's hotspot. Will have to see about my home issue when I get home tomorrow. Really hope someone has an answer that will help by then! So am I hearing that I may need to get a new router? I have a router/modem combo from AT&T which is a year old.
