Short battery life of iPad Air2?

My issue is the opposite. It's been working fine since I purchased it almost a year ago. The other night the battery completely drained for the first time, not on purpose. So I charged it back to 100% and now it seems it can't hold the charge as it used to. Earlier I unplugged it at 100%, came back to it a few hours later and it was at 89% without using it. The percentage kept going down without usage. What's the deal with this?

I have the same issue. Yesterday after it was fully charged I browsed some Instagram and Facebook for about an hour. It went to 52% in that hour. I closed all apps and later in afternoon was down to about 12%

I have same problem, mine keeps dying when it says I have over 30% left on the battery. Very frustrating, I have been an Apple person for a while. If this keeps up I may go another route, this is ridiculous after what I paid for this Ipad air 2 Wi-Fi/cellular

After being pure Apple since 1981, and owning every apple product (except Lisa) multiple times, .....I QUIT!

I 100% agree. I don't know how to feel about it. I upgraded from an iPad 3! 😐 I miss the wider edges. It was more symmetrical imho, and you can comfortably hold without obscuring the screen with your thumbs. It has very distracting vibrations when playing music... And while it's true that the sound feels more full, it is also much weaker the way it comes out of the speakers. It's thinner, but almost impossible to hold comfortably until you put a good TPU cover on the back so you have some grip. I also feel like the vibrations is just going to cause damage over time, so I'm worried about playing the sound louder where I never had a thought about it on the iPad 3.

Yes my battery seems to drain too. I fully charged my iPad Air 2 and after an hour of not using it much it's down to 92%. With my previous device it would have been at 98-99%.

Wow I just checked. After 8 hours of not using my iPad Air 2, the battery went from 78% to 63%!

I totally understand. Did you have your iPad Air 2 in sleep mode when the battery went down?

So what should I do? I have 6 days to return it. How do I recalibrate my battery?

So what's your experience with battery after all this time. I have to say that I'm not happy. I have to charge my iPad Air 2 every 3 days, before, with iPad Air, it was like once every 6 days.

You may have a bug.

Go to settings restore to factory settings

After restore use same apple ID to get your apps& data back

Do this over your WiFi .
