iPad air 2 pop noise

My iPad Air 2 randomly has a "Pop Noise" out of the speaker. it happens randomly about once or twice a day when touching the screen or pressing a button. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Could it be a software issue or has it more likely to do with the hardware?

Doc,

  1. it happens randomly but mine did it a lot more as I touched the screen. I returned two sets each time Apple Genious Bar Techs stated it was a hardware issue. Some folks are saying Apple is denying the issue but if it is popping you should take it back (if you can). I have read several other sites as well stating the same issue. Some believe it is software others think it is a speaker issue and then some just believe it is a hardware issue Period.

I find it hard to tell where the sound is coming from. Not sure whether its through the speaker or from the body of the machine. It happens so quickly and randomly that you're not really focused when it happens. If it is from the electronics (like a capacitor discharge) then Apple need to look at it pronto. The longer it takes, the more speculation about the cause (for better or worse).

Doctorr9fan: It does appear to require a screen touching action by the user to produce it (opening an app, clicking search bar etc)

Wow and you are here for helping others right...sigh do you want a thanks too? Greedy.....

As a i already stated Apple Mexico dont replace "issues" like this, when you take it to the apple mexican brainers they return you the device saying it has absolutely nothing.

About selling it i have a thing called integrity and id never sell to another person a faulty product like this but if you insist ii can sell it to you + gonna make you happy. 🙂

The advice I offered, is the ONLY advice anyone here can offer. You didn't ask a question. You basically said, it keeps happening and you're unhappy you bought your iPad. There's no setting anyone can tell you to change. And since none of us can resolve this for you, your only options are as follows:

1. If it's hardware, return it for exchange or sell it. If the store won't help you, call Apple Customer Support and elevate your issue.

2. If it's software, wait for Apple to release an update which will hopefully help you.

Otherwise, you can complain if it makes you feel better, but no one here can fix this issue for you or for themselves for that matter.

And no it wouldn't make me happy to purchase your iPad. Mine has no popping sound issues. And I am sorry the one you have does and that it makes you unhappy.
