Bootcamp win8.1 autorepair fail after yosemite upgrade

Hello Loner T,

I try to post directly here, as my problem is quite similar to another you answered before Loner T.

I have read most of your posts on reporting diskutil and testdisk

I have testdisk and gdisk ready to use

But, yes theres is a "but" :-), i got a different display that seems more complex to me... i got 5 partitions and the one that seem to be the right partition is the 5th and the 4th dont remind me anything.

Here are my outputs :

Oops i forgot some details

At boot bootcamp never disappeared

Windows 8.1 bootmgr is launching but i think it's not on the right disk (disk 4 contain a strange temp folder and a recovery file) > seen on finder

disk4 has the ntfs header but it's not the right disk

disk5 dont have the same header

As i remember there are only 4 partitions on my computer...

And it's not possible to mount disk5

I have run testdisk, could you help me on the output pls ?

That upgrade is going me crazy... :-D

God ****, god ****, god daaaaaammmn !!!! It's stunning

First time after reboot i got an error telling me to fix using installation system

I boot on it, tried to access c: and viewed my files ! 🙂

Next to it i have done :

- bootrec.exe /scanos

- bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

- bootrec.exe /fixboot (i was not sure if it was useful in my case)

Reboot again and ....

Tadaaaaaaa ! Fully functional

You were a big help !

Did you participated in Testdisk ?
