How can I see song lyrics in iOS 8?

In the past I've been able to add lyrics to my music in iTunes and then see those lyrics in the music app after syncing my iPhone or iPod... There is an option in my setting to view lyrics which I have turned on and yet I can't see the lyrics I've added in the music app, how do I make it so I can see those lyrics?

Well, huh. I upgraded to iOS 8.2 and still was not seeing lyrics. So I went back to iTunes as anypats suggested and sure enough, the lyrics were not there. After adding lyrics, they are showing up fine.

Maybe the mssing lyrics were just songs I thought I had added lyrics to but actually didn't? Maybe iTunes lost the lyrics like it does with artwork sometimes?

Dunno. But it's working fine now...

I face the same problem with the lyrics display. On my MacBook, the lyrics appear perfectly fine. But on my iPhone 6, when I tap on the album artwork, I only see the song rating and no lyrics.

Strangely, this problem occurs only on certain tracks, not all. Most work perfectly fine, except for a few.

I tried the IME suggestion earlier, but I don't even see that option!

Can anyone help? It's annoying the **** out of me! Thanks!

I had this problem too. I've been struggling to find an answer. However, since I just fixed this issue on my iPhone 6 Plus, I thought I'd help with the solution. I know this is an older post, but, I'm commenting anyway in hopes of helping others!

Access your iTunes from your computer.

Go to EDIT PREFERENCES

Click on DEVICES

Click on the device you're having issues with in the device backup box and click DELETE BACKUP

Click OK

Plug your phone into your computer and sync your device

Your problem should be solved.

I'm going to guess that the problem you are having is that lyrics don't always sync to the song tracks on the iPhone. I don't know why this happens or the easiest way to fix it. You can verify that this is happening by looking to see if the lyrics actually exist on the iTunes file. If they do, then the problem is with the syncing.

Suggestions I have seen and I'm wondering if anyone has better ones are:

- delete the song on your iphone and put it back on

- restore your iphone and have it sync back the library (seems pretty serious)

- identify the specific songs in questions and make minor changes to the file (ie change the name of the file, add something to the lyrics, etc). The idea is to force iTunes to resync and replace the file with the correct one.

Hope that helps.
