Iphone 5s Family Shared calendar not getting notifications

Folks I have sent these posts to Apple Senior Advisor who has downloaded some data from my phone and referred to engineering for analyzing. Hopefully this will end up in them fixing this problem for us all. I will let you know or hopefully they will let you know as I have sent them this blog and they will have all of your posts to reply to......

Ok, the results are in. They called after several weeks working with our stuff and the engineers and said that they found the problem and it is on their end and they will fix it. It is a server problem on Apple's end and there is nothing we can do to fix it on our end. Said they will be writing a fix for it, but could not give a time for fixing it. Just will have to wait until it starts working I guess........

Good to hear they have an idea about it now. Hopefully the fix comes soon.

I am so glad I came across this post!! I am having the same exact problem as you all. I would have stayed up all night trying to fix it if it wasn't for this forum. I hope they fix this soon because it totally defeats the purpose of having a shared calender if you cant be notified that an event was updated or deleted. I listed my problems below:

• I have the iphone 5s and Husband has iphone 6
• Both running iOS 8.1.1
• I shared two calendars with my husband and he does not get any notifications when I add events to shared calendars
• He can update/add events to shared calendars and I receive notifications instantly
• #frustrateduser

No notifications on any of my devices. iPhone 6, iPad Air, Macbook Pro all with latest software updates.

Wife's iPhone 5s all fine and dandy. Incredibly frustrating.

Same problem. Both have iPhone 6 and using 8.1. Wife gets all notifications and I get none. I have also dealt with Apple Senior Advisor on several occasions. They have downloaded some information from my computer and my phone and passed it all on to engineering. He was aware it is a problem shared by a ton of his customers. Still no fix yet, to my knowledge. Very frustrating.

I'm getting this too. I have a shared calendar with my wife. Since iOS 8.1 or maybe 8.1.1. (I'm not totally sure) when I update our shared calendar or add a new event, my wife no longer gets notified. The event appears in the calendar on her phone, but there's not notification of it despite all the settings being set to do precisely that. When my wife makes a change or addition however, the notifications appear on my phone fine.

I then created a test calendar on my wife's phone and shared that with me. We then had the exact same problem but in reverse. So it would seem that shared calendar notifications are only working for the person who shares the calendar and not for the people who the calendar is shared with.

still not working, come on Apple shouldn't take weeks to fix this on your end

Same problem here. I have a 6 and my husband and son both have iPhone 5's. I get calendar notifications but they don't. I hope Apple fixes this issue soon!

And another one with the same problem. No need to re-type the problem again :-)
