Iphone 5s Family Shared calendar not getting notifications

Hello Everyone!

I'm having a strange issue. My 6 and my wifes 5s are both set up to use Family Sharing. We have a shared calendar we both use. When my wife adds/deletes an event from her 5s, I get a nice notifcation and it shows up in my "Notifcations" bar. However, when I add/delete an event on this same calendar from my 6, my wifes 5s never gets a notification. Nothing in the notification bar and no little number on the app icon. However, if you go into the calendar app, my changes show up just fine. It always seems to be in sync but it never shows a notification. Both devices are on 8.1.

Things I've looked at:

- In the calendar app, I go to edit calendar and "Show Changes" is set to on as well as "Event Alerts"

- In settings->notifications->Calendar, "Allow Notifications" is set to on with it set to display 5 alerts. Also, if I go into shared calendar changes in this menu, Everything is checked and it is set to display in the banner.

- In settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars the default calendar is set to "Family"

Does anyone have any ideas? Its really starting to drive us nuts. I'll change an event in the calendar and my wife wont know until its already too late. Any help is appreciated!!

Still all over the place here. With events added via a Mac or iOS device. Notification work on the Mac, period. Sometimes a banner shows up on my iOS devices, sometimes only a notification bubble, sometimes no sound, and sometimes I have to open the calendar app to see the notification come through.

It's all over the place here here. All ever since iOS 8 and or adding Family Sharing.

Currently on the latest versions of all software.

Please hurry 8.2

I was having the same problem where no invite or notifications were sent or received. The problem is that in order for the invitations to be sent or received, the person to whom the invitation is being sent cannot have a regular email (yahoo, Gmail.com) as the Apple ID. The person who creates the event cannot send it to an apple id that uses the yahoo.com or gmail.com. It has to be sent to an iCloud.com address which has to be the Apple ID. Once you send it to a iCloud.com address the person will immediately receive the invitation as a calendar push notifications a well as any changes to that event. This is however not a good thing as this was not an issue before. Hope this helps Folks.

I'm having a weird problem and this is the closest thread I can find after an hour of searching. My wife and I share an Apple ID and have multiple devices. However, she just missed an important meeting because she didn't get the Calendar Alert. Then it dawned on me that I haven't been getting the daily alert reminding us of the school bus. I get it sometimes, but not everyday. My wife looked at the iMac and saw the alert on the screen, but it hadn't shown up on my phone or my wife's iPad. Technically, it's not a shared calendar because all devices are using iCloud with the same Apple ID. All devices can see the event in the calendar, see that reminder setting correctly, and have notifications set to use the "Alert" style for upcoming events. Thoughts?

Hi I am having a problem with ios 9.1. I just updated to this yesterday. Initially I thought I had updated without a hitch. However my boss shares his calendar with me so that I can see it on my iphone so I know when his meetings are. He has put new entries in (either on his iphone or ipad and not directly from the icloud calendar) and I have not received notifications. I cannot see these entries in my calendar. It's very frustrating as I have just double booked a meeting because I couldn't see the prior entry. Is there any reason why I do not receive these updates anymore? It was working fine on Friday, now it's Monday and it's not.

Any help gratefully received.
