Please, help me how to remove or uninstall onlysearch.com from my Safari?
MacBook Air, iOS 8.1
Open Safari
hold down Command and press ","
this will bring up the preferences.
go to the Privacy tab
click Remove all Web data
then go to the general tab and use this as the template for what it should read:
this might work, there used to be a "Reset Safari" button but Apple apparently took it away because it worked too well.
I tried but didn't work ;(.
I am really confused. A few days ago I downloaded something on my mac and since then I have online search.com on my Safari. Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? I don't wanna see a thousand ads when I try to open a new page.
1. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and relaunch Safari again.
Turn those on one by one and test.
2. Download free AdwareMedic by clicking âDownload â from here
http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php
Install , open, and run it by clicking âScan for Adwareâ button to remove adware.
Once adware is removed, quit the app by clicking AdwareMedic in the menubar
and selecting âQuit AdwareMedicâ.

I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions. When I click on the adware medic link it comes up for a sec then goes to safari can't find this page.... Im guessing it may be something to do with a virus? Im using Safari. Often times a Mac Cleaner or something along those lines with open in a new window when I am browsing. Any suggestions?? TIA.

thanks Svetos I went to the remove all web stie data in privacy and it worked perfectly thanks - the download didn't work I'm happy because I wasn't too keen on downloading anything else that's what got me in this mess in the first place.
Thanks man.. This solved the problem.. I've been troubleshooting the problem since couple of hours.. Tried to reset preferences but all failed.. Now safari is working perfectly fine.. Thanks again..đ

In does not work for me because the on/off button in extensions is off and has never been turned on. Now what can I do.
I HATE this. Somehow only-search.com came into my computer today and ever since by normally perfectly-running Mail and Safari are now acting really strange and I'm seeing the revolving beach ball way way more than ever.
Someone PLEASE HELP.

Adwaremedic does a great job. But, the adware on my computer (onlt-search...) was blocking the access to the download page (
http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php). It would tell me the network has been lost overtime I tried accessing it.
It finally worked when I asked Google to translate the page into german!
AdwareMedic worked perfectly.

The adwareMedic site would not open for me due to the adware virus so I used Google search in German to open it (just as JoshPop's post suggested) and then it worked.
I then downloaded the adwareMedic and it took care of the problem. Everything is working normal again.
