How to remove only-search.com from Safari?

1. Go to your hard drive folder
2. Select Library
3. Application support
4. Search for a folder called VSearch... and delete
5. Empty trashcan
6. Optional: Scan with program like bittdefender (free) for other files to make sure everything is gone

Thank you. Only thing that worked for me was the Adwaremedic app.

Clicking blocking settings in Safari Preferences totally ineffective.

THANK YOU! Tried all other suggestions and this fixed everything in safari, chrome immediately. TRY THIS FIRST.

I had this problem with only search staying as my homepage as well as many pop ups such as free Mac cleaner. I used the adware medic download went through all the steps and restarted my Mac. It cleared this problem up thankfully

after i tried a reinstall of yosemite which didn't work went on to my wife s account which wasn't corrupt downloaded AdWare Medic run it and its GONE

Nothing has worked for me. I've tried everything above, adware medic, deleting from applications in finder, etc. and nothing has been effective. Only search is still my home page and I am still being bombarded with pop ups. Please help! Does anyone know why this could still be happening?

i tried every single thing this feed has suggested to no avail. adware has installed and not removed it.

all extensions are now gone, homepage has been set to Google a considerable amount of times...notthing has worked.

anyone got a suggestion that doesn't require ANOTHER 3rd Party software to fix this?

Hey so I actually tried everything and deleted everything they told me to delete no avail either and I also installed the adware remover and tried it but it didn't help either so i tried it again and it finally found what it was so apparently its none of what they said although some of that was installed on my computer ... try looking for something that says frameworks in library .. its not supposed to be there
