Not able to access photos from my photo stream with iOS 8.1 through WhatsApp

After upgrading to iOS 8.1, I can't access any shared photos (My PhotoStream or pictures uploaded by other devices, Moments album) from What's app.

It keeps saying "WhatsApp does not have access to your photos or videos. To enable access go to: iPhone Settings > Privacy > Photos > WhatsApp."

Which is already enabled.

I tried restoring my phone but it didn't help.

Please help.

I did what you suggested, and all my photostream went missing!

this is an alternative way to upload pictures on whatsapp.

this issue has been resolved in whatsapp's updated version. it gives full access to photo library now!
