Well I posted to here before, but my comment was deleted for giving my honest thoughts, and certain people did not agree with them... Anyways I’m going to get to my point. Apple has stated in various ways and within the Warranty information that it is up to the Apple Genius representative to decide if they will replace your Apple Product or not. They have various tests that they do, (some being just visual) to decide on if they are going to replace it for free or not. I commented before on my iPhone 6+ being bent and me planning on going to the Apple store to see what my options were. My iPhone has always been in a stiff and protective case, and I always have screen protectors/ always make sure that my iPhone is in a dry, clean, and protected area (I mean I spent a lot of money on this phone and I want to protect my investment). However, when at the Beach or some other time (not really sure when) my iPhone 6+ began to warp/bend. I was devastated... However, like I said before I take very good care of my products (no dents, no scratches. It looked like I bought the device the day before). I made an Apple Genius Bar appointment and proceeded to take my iPhone in to the store again to see my options. As always I was greeted with great customer service as they led me to the Genius Bar. My Apple representative did a quick diagnostic test on the device, as well as looked at the enclosure for any signs of forced bending/ "phone abuse". The guy asked me a few questions and then told me that this time as it was such a small bend and that it looked like it was not forced in any way they will replace my device free of charge this time. I asked him questions as he began the process of exchanging my iPhone with a new one (Well refurbished, which is fine and also stated in Apples Warranty Terms/Conditions. Plus, all apples refurbished products come with a new battery and external encloser, so its guaranteed to look and work just like a new one). One of the questions I asked was how many iPhones do they usually get a day due to bending? His response was about one a day, while also stating that it’s not just the iPhone 6+/iPhone 6 that comes in. The 5 and 5s also make quite a lot of appearances. He also said the iPhone that shows up the least amount is the iPhone 4 and 4S, as the enclosure is made of steel. Anyways that's my experience. Therefore, my answer to the question that many have asked (including myself the day before) is that it’s up to Apple if or if not they are going to replace your device for free or not. It also depends on how well you take care of your devices, and if your phone is still covered under warranty. If you’re wondering the prices to replace iPhones that do not qualify for free replacement you can see the link below if out of warranty/ other warranty quick question/answers. In addition, I will state that prices for phones that have Apple Care Plus on their products in the U.S.A as of 7/19/15 is 80 dollars (as the phone would be considered accidental damage). Hope this helps. As I believe this information would have helped me the day before.... Apple - Support - Service Answer Center... In addition, attached is proof that it was replaced (with all personal information/phone info/numbers crossed out of course.
