Yosemite mail does not save multiple attachments from different emails

Hi.

Before Yosemite, u could download multiple attachments from different emails.

For instance if i would like to download all attachments from an account i was selecting all emails in Mail and then go to

Mail>FIle>Save attachments

I would then indicate the folder i want them saved and that was it.

Now you do the same thing but nothing is saved in the folder..

Any suggestions? Any known way to resolve this?

thank you

This has been maddening for me ever since the upgrade. I receive multiple attachments to many emails every day at my work, and not being able to SAVE ALL any more has been a huge waste of time. I just took the time to focus on this problem and found a workaround, that for me, works.

Normally the way I save attachments is by viewing the email in the far right pane (with the list of emails in the middle pane, and the list of mailboxes in the far left pane) -- and then clicking near the top of the email (just under the To/From/Subject info) will make appear a Save All -- where I navigate to my folder and save ALL attachments. I think there's a bug though, because for me, only one file saves. Every time.

However I just discovered that if I instead go under the File menu and choose Save Attachments -- I get the same window that lets me choose where to save the files -- BUT THEY ALL SAVE.

So clearly this must be a bug.

But hopefully this workaround will work/help some others... 🙂

I have a solution that worked for me:

1. Choose the mailbox with the mails and their attachments you want to save.

2. Uncheck "View > Organize by Conversation".

3. "File > Save Attachments..." works as aspected.

It seems that Mail.app can't save the attachments, if the mailbox with the mails is organized by Conversations...

Hopefully this works for you all

This has worked for me:

(per email) click the arrow and select "Save all".

OP is correct,,,,,, using File >> Save Attachments doesn't save anything, but at least u can save all but only one email at a time...

so i guess either do that, or forward emails in one message ..

To the above post: doesn't work.... mine is already organized that way.

Anyone tried re-building their mailbox ?
