iPhone 6 and link2cell Panasonic phones.

I have the Panasonic KX TGE270. It has worked for over a year with no problems. However after I upgraded the OS software it stopped working. I have tried diligently to sync my phone up, deregister it, add as a second phone, etc. with no luck. Now all I get is the error message on my iPhone 6 Plus saying "Pairing unsuccessful. Make sure "Panasonic DECT" is turned on, in range and is ready to pair". After spending hours and hours on this I am ready to give up and rake out some more $$$ to buy a V tech or ATT set. HELP!

I was going crazy with this same problem too. I finally tried it with the phone right next to the base station and it worked. I think it has to be very close not only to the handset but to the base too. Hope that helps.

I also have an iPhone 6 and a slightly different Panasonic model KX-TGEA20. The paring initially worked without any problem, but I had to disconnect the paring recently for a reason I cannot even recall. When I tried to pair the phones again I kept receiving an 'unsuccessful paring' error message. After spending two hours on the phone with the folks at Panasonic they suggested I send the phones back to them for replacement. As a last ditch effort I remembered an old, but often useful procedure. I disconnect the power from the base station, waited a minute, plugged it back in and it worked the first time I tried to pair the phone again. Don't know why the Panasonic techs did not think of this.

Hope this helps you or anyone looking for an answer to the pairing problem they may be experiencing. It seems to be a common problem.

Sounds so silly, but powering down the base worked for me after trying to unpaid and pair over and over again. However, now that everything is paired again, I can't get the Panasonic phones to announce text messages as they did before. Any thoughts there?

it's in the Talk2Cell preferences under the phone that is paired... I think it's the second option.
