Camera Shutter iPhone 6 Plus - No sound for first shot

The clicks all came back that were missing from all kinds of functions, once I turned off the HD live little circle at the top of the camera screen.

From what i understand, the shutter sound works most of the time, but just not on the first shot. If this is the case, I may suggest a couple of different troubleshooting steps. My first suggestion would be force the Camera application to close and test fresh after opening the application again.

If the issue continues, the next step I would suggest would be to restart your iPhone and test again.

I am having the same issue with my iphone 6 plus! The shutter doesn't make a sound on the first take, whether the camera is front facing or facing out. Once I exit and try again, it's okay. It's when it's not in use for a while.

Also, when I test my sounds when selecting a text or ring tone, it doesn't play on the first try either.

And to top off my list, the Calendar app doesn't have the "US Holidays" already embedded like the other phones! You have to manually subscribe to US Holidays and it has disappearing events! The dots are INCONSISTENT!! You need to download a 3rd party Calendar app. So disgusted with this new software for iPhone 6 Plus!!

It's the same with mine iPhone 6+. At first I thought I don't here the sound because of ambient noises, but now I know it simply does not make sound the first time.

I had the same problem.

I fixed it doing a setting reset.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings.

With this options you won't lose any data.

I have tried this many times but failed. There is no camera shutter sound at first take and after few hours or a day the same problem again appears. i have restet the phone many times even i installed the whole software but still the same.

IOS 8.3 iPhone 6plus 128gb I still have this issue! when will apple start paying attention???

sometimes reminders and and calendar alerts also make no sound first time too!

Same phone, same problem. It's one of many bugs which I don't expect apple will be interested in fixing, as usual.

Same issue here. Got my iPhone 6 Plus two days ago and noticed this quickly. I did a full reset after updating to 8.3 right after getting the phone. Not a big issue but still annoying.

Agreed that it doesn't seem too bad. But I'm convinced that some of my notifications are silent the first time. Like reminders or calendar events. Seemingly random. Along with locking the phone not making a locking noise sometimes.

I Wonder what this truly affects

I have not noticed it for any notifications yet but I will keep my ears open. I have only had the phone for a couple of days now.

I have a 5S (iOS 8.3) with the same problem.

So, I think that isn't only a 6 / 6 Plus's problem.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I've tried resetting the device completely and that only worked for about 24 hours. Then I soft reset the phone...that worked for about 10 hours. I'm taking my phone in as none of my family members are experiencing this issue. It seems small, but it is super annoying and not something I would expect from something that costs $900. I forgot to mention I have 6+
