iPhone 6 screen turned black and white, please help?

TThank you thank you thank you!!!!! this what ultimately worked for me after hours. I had brought that screen up by accident another Another time. I must've changed the filter choice at that time. But now I'm back in business. Thanx again!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOLUTION IS HERE...

GO TO...Settings>General>Accessibilty>Zoom>Zoom Filter

None

Inverted

Grayscale

Grayscale Inverted

Low Light

choose NONE = switch to normal color

IF you have not dropped it or there was not any physical impact then most propably you turned on gray scale button by accidentally. Try setting, general, then accessibility then turn grayscale off.. Hope this will work! 🙂

Just to chime in that this just happened to me. I put my phone in my pocket and when I pulled it out, it had turned to grey scale... which was not on in my settings. I used Colin's suggestion as well as etubilla so that the issue would not re-occur. Thanks for the help!

Okay! This is for ipad. Sorry, couldn't find a good enough thread elsewhere to help me and other ipad users go back to a normal color screen without reading a bunch of different answers.

I finally figured it out for IPAD maybe this will work for iphone too. It is the complete answer as long as your device is working and you accidently changed the color setting or forgot what you did. I had a pop-up square magnifier with options listed so I clicked to see what it would do... I never seen it before yesterday, after a few years of owning my ipad. The magnifier came out of the blue while I was tweeting. "VERY STRANGE".

Go to Settings, Go to General, Make sure Invert Colors AND Grayscale buttons are off, If you cannot tell if they are on or off because of the new blk and wht screen color, (Slide them both to the left). THEN, just above, Click on Zoom, THEN, go to Zoom Filter, Click it to NONE ✅

It's been awhile since you posted but wanted to let you know you are still helping people like me. I thought I tried everything to fix the black and white screen issue. It never occurred to me it would be a zoom issue! Thanks so much. Grateful.

Thank you for the quick fix. I tried everything too and nothing worked. but when I checked the zoom by triple clicking on home button I was introduced again to my iPhones rainbow. thank you again.
