6 + Grey Bar at top of screen, screen un-responsive

To Fix this issue a chip called a Touch IC chip to be replaced, I got mine repaired at Short Cirqit in Corona Ca I shipped it to them and they had it back to me in 3 days. Look them up online and they have a mail in service on there website.

They replaced both for me. Works perfectly now.

Well , there is a small resister that is situated under the wifi ic . Either yu have to repace or make jumper , ofcourse first you have to check the connection first .

I already have done two of these problem successfully

Its the digitizer chip. It needs to be replaced. It's located in such a fashion that any slight bend tends to release or allow the chip to raise. Try bending your device toward the glass by holding the top and bottom of the device and carefully bending upwards. For chips that are still kind of working; this should help. Definitely a manufacture defect.

Ii have the same problem from last two weeks and is really annoying. I went to apple store and they told me to trade in or buy a new one. Does nay one started fighting legally about this? they should do something to address this problem.

Same problem in my IPhone 6+, if the solution is buy a new phone I will buy an Android phone, Apple what happen? 😠

At present, Apple has not announced an Exchange and Repair Extension Program for a grey bar, flickering or unresponsive screen on iPhone 6 Plus.

If you have not yet done so, it may help to back up your iPhone (you may wish to encrypt the backup, if using iTunes), restore it to factory settings (with a fresh copy of iOS) and test whether the issue persists before restoring from backup:

I'm afraid that no-one here can you what Apple will decide. You are not talking to Apple here - this is a user-based community.

Keep in mind if you bend the device and damage it, then take it to apple they will not repair it. and if it's in warranty and they detect damage like that they will void your warranty.

In future , they should have ONE BIG NOTIFICATION outside the box that says " PLEASE DO NOT PLACE PHONE IN POCKETS , PHONE IS NOT SUITABLE TO BE PLACED IN JEANS POCKETS"

tis is so so frustrating....

My wife and I bought a iphone 6 plus less than an year ago. In day one of purchase, we both put a hard cover and and a silicon protection in our phones. My wife rarely uses her phone and was in mint conditions when this white flickering bar of death came last month (phone had 9 months of life). Or touch screen stopped working and she could not back her phone up. The store manager replaced her phone for free. Today, when iphone7 launched, the flickering white bar of death appeared in my phone. I was able to back up the phone. It comes and goes randomly. My phone was never dropped as it a test phone which stays on my desk for tests as I am a iOS developer. This is a hardware/software issue, not caused by bent phones.

I have the exact same issue and it's been going on for a few months with my iPhone 6 this is called the touching disease they have a lawsuit against them and if there is enough victims they can replace phones for free or give us some type of compensation please make this known !!!!
