iCal 'Show Holidays calendar' not showing holidays in Australia after upgrading to Yosemite.

Hello, I had been in Italy before moving to Australia and I had set Show Holidays calendar in iCal to display Italian holidays. When I've moved to Australia, I've changed the regional settings to Australia and therefore iCal was showing Australian holidays. After I've upgraded to Yosemite, I can't see any holidays anymore. I tried to uptick 'Show Holidays calendar' and reboot Yosemite, then tick it back and it is still not working for Australia. if I change my regional settings for instance for Italy, it works. It just refuses to display Australian Holidays so for now I'm forced to use Google calendar subscription for public holidays.

How can I restore the iCal 'Show Holidays calendar' ?

Has anyone found a fix for this yet, this used to work fine on my iPhone, however it doesn't work on my iPad or Macbook Air. If I change my Region (Settings - General - Language & Region to either US or Canada it shows the correct respective holidays calendar, also works on Macbook Air. However if I change it back to UK it doesn't show the calendar.

I have been on with Apple Support who have no clue, don't even seem to fully understand the problem. Anyone had any other luck? I have also submitted it to Apple Feedback, hopefully they pick it up.

Interestingly, if you change the URL in the above post to https://p24-calendars.icloud.com/holiday/gb_en.ics it is a valid file and you can download it, opening it up it does contain the correct UK dates. Just strange no iOS or OS X device can actually connect to it automatically as it should.

Still not fixed. I have to have my system on English - UK or US, I don't care. But my location is in the Netherlands, hence I'm really not interested in Thanksgiving, rather in Sinterklaas with respect to holidays. If I set the region to Netherlands and the language to English, I really don't get the holidays in the calendar. I will now activate this option via the Gmail agenda.

Hope this is solved in the next Max OS X. It's no big issue - just quirky.

Oh my gosh this fixed the problem. Here is the very scary part. I have been trying to resolve this issue with Apple support over the phone and in the store genius bar since September 2015. Out of all the "Apple Experts" I have spoken to none of them know this!!!! They even wiped by drive and I had to reinstall. All I can say is THANK YOU! I have googled the problem before but did not come up to your advice until this morning. Not happy with Apple team on the phone or in the store because their answer to everything is wipe and start over - they said the same thing for my Iphone 5s when the email was not deleting from my Inbox - they said it probably was my private domain email issue - once again it was an incorrect check box in the general settings.
