Yosemite not supporting 3440x1440 resolution

I have a Mac Mini Late 2012 hooked up to a LG 34UM94-P Monitor (21:9) - after upgrading to Yosemite I've lost my 3440x1440 resolution! I had to downgrade back to Mavericks in order to get the 3440x1440 resolution back 😟.

Anyone know when this will be corrected in Yosemite?

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), Had to downgrade back to Mavericks.

Yes, thank you, I can read the specifications. However, you will note that the person who started the thread had a late 2012 Mini which also supports a supposed max resolution of 2560 by 1600 (with Intel HD 4000 graphics) and yet it was working for that person at 3440x1440 at least at some point. The person that I replied to has a mid-2010 MacBook Air which shares the same NVidia GeForce 320M that my Mac Mini has, so I was asking that user if he ever found a resolution to his issue.

I would like to note an update to this discussion. to advise of my partial success with Switch Res X, running the new Acer XR341CK extra-wide monitor at 3440 x 1440 from a late 2012 iMac 27": I absolutely could not activate the monitor in extended mode using OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 at 3440 x 1440 *until* I tried Switch Res X, but with a catch: It would not activate in 3440 x 1440 @ 60hz, only 3440 x 1440 @ 30 hz, one of the "bolded" compatible resolutions. While 3440 x 1440 shows as an opinion, presumably it was @ 60hz, and the monitor went blank with, "no signal." This is running the monitor with a DP cable and apparently, only DP 1.1 is supported from that model iMac, which uses the GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB video card. It was only with Switch Res X that the additional refresh rate of 30hz was revealed.

I hope this info helps someone frustrated at setting up a similar extended monitor.
