Same question... I've got an unlimited data plan and this limit is completely stupid, useless and unproductive. I paid a lot of money for this Iphone and I can't use it as I want for my work, I can't understand this and I'm loosing my time on my project because of it! Make it right apple!!
The answer hasn't changed in the two years since this post was created. WiFi is nearly ubiquitous in many parts of the world. It's a good bet that you can find a free WiFI hotspot somewhere near you. Or you can use a computer as TJBUSMC1973 suggested. You can also ask Apple to change the policy, but no one here can help you.
I have unlimited LTE plans.
It's a built-in limit, whether you have unlimited data or not. Use wi-fi or sync with iTunes.
This is an iOS restriction and is not possible. Or well, not directly through the phone anyhow. A way around it is to download the app to iTunes on a computer and then sync it to your iOS device or setup an hotspot through a secondary device such as an iPad.
TThis is discriminated to use cellular people.
Are you seriously screaming discrimination?

You can use your iphone as a hotspot and download the app on itunes.. but directly from the phone unfortunately its not possible yet
Download it to your desktop and then from there to the iPhone.
I don't use compute now. And free wifi is not safety. I just like to use cellular for device. Because I go to anywhere I can use it. The speed is faster than some wifi. Why not don't use it?

Fair enough. But you still can't download that 100mb app on cellular data. Simple as that.
Pete
There is a download limit of 100Mb for cellular download.
If you can't use a computer and don't want to use WiFi (which is safe to use) then you can't download that app.

You're throwing around the 'discrimination' card? Oh, please show me where in your contract or the terms of use of the device it ever told you that you could download a file that large over cellular data.
Excuse me. For example the disabled go to a restaurant. But the owner didn't allow him to go inside. The owner didn't say anything, just didn't allow the disabled come in . They don't make any contact. It's call "discrimination" ?

Your analogy is completely ludicrous.
get over it and use free WiFi or move on.
