Excuse me. For example the disabled go to a restaurant. But the owner didn't allow him to go inside. The owner didn't say anything, just didn't allow the disabled come in . They don't make any contact. It's call "discrimination" ?

That would be one of the most irrelevant and misguided analogies that I have ever read here, and believe me there have been some doozies!! 😉

It would be nice to understand this restriction. It surely is one reason more to change the operating system. Sometimes I need to download an app on the go, but I can't if it iss over 100mb. Whether you have unlimited internet or not, it would be respectful for the adult customers to decide themselves. You can download 100 mb from youtube, spotify or netflix over 4G, why not from app store?

If something is trolling it is saying "it is like that get over it". Don't be a *****. You are a adult customer and you have right to demand.

Ps. In Finland most of the cellurar connections are unlimited.

Hey Y'all,

I agree, we have the right to understand why there's a restriction, and have a choice of whether or not we would like to continue to download anything over 100mb. I, too, have unlimited data and don't understand why I would have to find a WiFi hotspot just to update an app I use.

Things are meant to change, and you can't say something like "well that's the way it is, so just deal with it or not, it's your choice." That is counter-productive.

It's been six months! Everyone's gone home!

But anyway....this is a technical support forum. The only useful things anyone can do in response to a query is to offer a solution or tell people when there isn't one. That was done way upthread. So yes, on this occasion "that's the way it is" is the only response. If you want to know why, contact Apple. No-one has any special knowledge of why Apple or any other company does things.

You have "a right"? Seems just a tad melodramatic. We are all just your fellow users. Submit your feedback to Apple here:

It wasn't that melodramatic when I wrote it, but as customers we should be provided answers when we ask. I've already submitted my feedback and also on Twitter @AppleSupport (no response yet).

The feedback page is quite clear about the fact that you won't receive a response. I wouldn't count on that question getting anything other than a stock answer through Twitter but, as I've never asked one there, I could be quite wrong about that. And no company is going to answer all a customer's questions. For a variety of reasons.
