How do I disable xfinity wifi?

Just for clarification, are you saying that you had a profile from Xfinity that enable your use of their hotspots, you delete the profile, forget the network for a particular location and the next time you return to the location it automatically connects to the Xfinity network. Yes except the device joins any and all xfinity networks anytime you happen upon one. So, if you go to a new location in your city where someone is broadcasting their lame "xfinity" network, your device will join it automatically. The device never did this before installation of xfinity profile. We want the xfinity network to be permanently forgotten.

I take it a reset of network settings also does not clear it? If you go to a particular location and automatically connect then forget that particular network does it reconnect when you return to that location? I'm also assuming there is a single password for the Xfinity system?

The problem, my problem with it, is that when you have set up a list of preferred networks, and xfinity is not on it or is on it but at the bottom of the list, then when you are in range of a preferred/saved network ... then the computer should join the network at the top of your list. However, when I am also in range of xfinity that is the network that opens.

As you can see, xfinity is not at the top of the list. But it will be the one that opens even while the one at the top of the list are in range. I have to click on the wifi icon on the top bar of my screen and choose another network
