How do I disable xfinity wifi?

a reset of network settings does not solve the problem. Forgetting the xfinity network at a particular location will prevent reconnection at that specific access point. however, other networks/access points (also named xfinity) are still automatically joined, which is really annoying.

Top or bottom of the list doesn't really mean anything.

You are quite correct, Networks should be joined in the order that they appear in the list, yours apparently doesn't, what have you done to try to fix that.

In my experience that is not necessarily true especially if you are in an area that is heavily router congested.

It happens whether xfinity is on the list or not, and even when it is on the list but lower on the list than another preferred network that is in range

Apparently the Xfinity network is set up where the entire entity is a bunch of clones. That is why I was curious if forgetting a particular site worked. This is going to be an Xfinity issue primarily, what have they told you when you contacted them? You might also want to contact Apple and ask to be transferred to the second tier and give them a detailed explanation of what is occurring and what you have tried.

When you call tell them you have a very complex problem and would like to speak to a second tier specialist. If they refuse ask to speak to a supervisor.

They all have the same SSID, possibly other items of ID as well.

Hi. I notice that one user mentioned an Xfinity profile installed on their device. Configuration profiles are used to modify device settings, sometimes in ways not normally possible. Do others with this issue have a profile? What happens if you delete the profile?

I do not have an Xfinity profile installed.
