How do I disable xfinity wifi?

What is your idea?

When I wanted it gone I simply selected "forget network". Now, there are many many Xfinity networks with the same name, so if you have turned on "Ask to Join Networks", it will keep finding them. I turned that off too.

I appreciate the positive suggestion. Some of the others only seem interested in criticizing rather than advancing the discussion.

How do you propose advancing the discussion, should xfinity broadcasts be banned?, should Apple not show you which networks are nearby? which exact course would you like to see this go in?

"Ask to join new networks" is unchecked on my computer. I still get Xfinity jumping in.

Apple needs to voice some information here. If xfinity has just found a way to trump Apple's software they should just say that and tell us how to fix it. Otherwise, they need to tell us how to deal with it.

NOBODY has trumped anything, the list of available networks should include all available networks, and Xfinity is an available network

And, if you uncheck 'Ask to join' it wont ask, it will just join.

Unless you were recently promoted to Site Moderator do not tell me where or when I should post. There is a need for some truth in this thread.

He asked you to stop posting here. Obviously you will do what you want. However, there does not seem to be any rational reason for you to sit on this conversation simply to constantly tell people who have a problem that it is not a problem. It is disappointing that Apple does not have a Site Moderator on this that would make you leave.

Because having an available network show up on the list of available networks is how it should work.

And Apple does have site moderators, but removing the truth is not what they do here.
