any iPad Air 2 stylus recommendations?

I found my old capacitive stylus is not working well with iPad Air 2. it works well with my iPad 2 and iPad mini 2.

any recommendations for stylus with iPad Air 2? for note-taking and sometimes drawing?

And I want to ask users using ICS2 from Wacom, Jot Touch with Pixelpoint and Jot Script from Adonit. How bad are those styluses perform on iPad Air 2? I saw Wacom and Adonit's announcement about the compatibility issues... looks pretty bad...

I have a new iPad Air 2 and just purchased the Jot Script. It is worthless - even with software that has been updated with their latest driver.

This is really frustrating. I have Samsung Note 4 phone and the stylus/hand writing recognition works great. I was hoping to get a similar experience on the iPad. It looks like Wacom/Adonit work great on older versions of iPad.

I also tried the Truglide Pro stylus - it didn't work well either.

Apple -> Is there *any* stylus that will work on a new iPad Air 2?

Yeah, this is bad. I didn't hear anything about from Apple. I sent my iPad 2 to Apple to fix my bluetooth connection with my iMac and mentioned my trouble with a Wacom Intuit and they said nothing about it. I got the iPad Air 2 for the graphics and photography and I think I am going to get rid of it and use something else. Again, I maintain this is bad.

From a conversation at https://www.facebook.com/AdonitInc Jot Script 2 would seem to work with iPad Air 2.

INTRODUCING: The all-new Jot Script 2 Evernote Edition.

Vincent So if this one works well with iPair Air 2 can we presume the issue of Jot Touch with Pixelpoint for iPad Air 2 is resolved?

Adonit Hi Vincent!

Sure can! The updated SDK that we've released resolves those issues with all of our bluetooth styluses.

Elijah Oh Hi, is it compatible with iPad Air 2? Recently I bought a Jot Touch with Pixelpoint and it has issue with iPad Air

Adonit Hey Elijah!

It is! We've also released an updated SDK to fix the issues, too! That way it fixes the issues with the Jot Touch and Jot Script 1.

Timeline....Trials and Tribulations in search of a "working" stylus for iPad Air2.

- Original post went up in Dec 2014.
- I posted my experience on Jan 23, 2105. Reported that Pencil 53 works great on iPad Air 2 without any problem for drawing. However the stylus is bulky and does not work nicely as a pen for note taking. So no issue with Pencil53 for Drawing. Pencil53 is a Bluetooth device and it disconnects from iPad Air 2 every now and then requiring a reset which is a pain in the behind.
- I was suckered into buying that piece of junk Adonit Jot Script which did not work at all with iPad Air 2. Other people re-posted the half truths and mostly lies spread by Adonit that it was somehow Apple's fault that their precious $80 stylus did not work. I returned that piece of junk back to them, Adonit gave me a full refund MINUS shipping costs.
- March 2, 2015 poster by the name of "Tuxis 1" mentions LyncTek Apex Plus Fine Point Stylus. Concludes with analysis that the PLUS version should work with iPad Air 2. I contact LyncTek, the friendly customer service rep emails me right away and assures my that the stylus indeed works with iPad Air 2...AND...it is not a Bluetooth device. That means no constant connection with iPad Air 2. In total disbelief I order the stylus. $20 less than piece of junk Adonit Jot Script, no shipping charges either. So to give them additional revenue I add to the order the carrying case as well.

LYNCTEK APLEX plus FINE POINT STYLUS:
I open the package (less fancy than Adonit) BEAUTIFUL STYLUS, awesome fine point, felt perfect for NOTE TAKING. I read the instructions. Put the AAA battery in and take it to the iPad Air 2. Stylus takes a bit of pressure to work, but it works awesome with NoteShelf. Skinny Text, Heavy Highlight, diagonal drawing, you name it....AND to top it off no BlueTooth connection required. So I believe we finally have a working stylus for iPad Air2 which can be used for good note taking. Now I did not say for "great" note taking....there is always room for improvement. And I hope that LyncTek keep doing whatever they are doing....keep innovating boys and girls. Two Thumbs Up.

You were right. LyncTek Apex PLUS Fine Point Stylus works great with iPad Air 2. Thank you so much for your insight. As of today Apr 6, 2015 there have been over 19,000 views to this post. It is an absolute delight to finally have a fine point stylus with a normal ballpoint pen feeling for note taking. I am using NoteShelf. Thanks again.

If anyone has the notion, that the case is then closed if a note-taking ok pen is found - Im sorry.

As artist and drawing as main issue...Having need for color sync, copy, paste, stamp abilities in different apps from Adobe. The need is stille to get Adobe Ink to work on iPad Air 2. Either Adobe must take back Ink from the market (iPad Air2) or they have to fix it together with Apple and Adonit.
Get on with the job - and by the way - tell us the status on the project. !!! 😎 Waiting !!!

Just to let you know:

I personally own an iPad Air 2.

BUT I've worked with both Adobe Ink (made by Adonit) and two Adonit stylus (including their flagship and the one you ordered) on earlier iPads and I have to say that their stylus are truly AMAZING. So just because it doesn't work with the actual iPad version anymore does not mean it is Junk!

if you get to know a person that has a working Adobe Ink pen then try it! You'll take back everything you said about Adonit!

i Also have both Lynctek stylus and I know the company from their beginning. I even helped founding two of their pens.

but - believe me - they are great but cannot compete with the Adonit flagships.

So I fear that there won't be a possibility to make great pressure sensitive styluses (not the 53 crayon - Il mean fine-tip styluses) for this new screen technology. It just took to long now. It's over one year now and no one created a good working artist-level solution with pressure sensitivity.

I think I have to trade my iPad Air 2 with an Air 1... 😟 😟 😟

Spending too much money and effort for a Fancy, not really necessary "watch"! They could have think a bit for electronic pen! Something that many would buy and use ...Wouldn't be a great change all the normal notes be replaced by a digital way...and just imagine with use of iCloud Drive a student can have all his\her notes in one place and every time every where and could reach them from primary school to post graduate study, research...really worth to think a bout it!

any iPad Air 2 stylus recommendations?
