This is the answer Adonit gave me and I appreciate their honesty:

The iPad Air 2 has a somewhat redesigned screen compared to previous models of the tablet, and unfortunately that has caused some performance issues for many active styluses currently on the market, including our own.
We're currently working to address this through some updates to the Jot SDK (Software Developers Kit) that we provide to app developers, and have made significant progress so far. Please bear in mind though that this is an ongoing process and further improvements are coming. Everyone I've spoken to on our SDK team has been confident we'll be able to get this addressed through some further refinements to the software end of things.
We actually have a blog post with a bit more information on this issue here:

Also, a more recent update on this was posted here:

If you're weary of these issues, but still looking for a stylus, I would probably go with the Jot Pro or the Jot Touch 4 (found on Amazon or ebay). Those two models work perfectly fine with the iPad Air 2. Since the iPad Air 2 released after our products, the packaging lacks verification of compatibility with that model of iPad.
I hope this info helps you out but, if you have any other questions, just let us know!
