any iPad Air 2 stylus recommendations?

I found my old capacitive stylus is not working well with iPad Air 2. it works well with my iPad 2 and iPad mini 2.

any recommendations for stylus with iPad Air 2? for note-taking and sometimes drawing?

And I want to ask users using ICS2 from Wacom, Jot Touch with Pixelpoint and Jot Script from Adonit. How bad are those styluses perform on iPad Air 2? I saw Wacom and Adonit's announcement about the compatibility issues... looks pretty bad...

I have a new iPad Air 2 and just purchased the Jot Script. It is worthless - even with software that has been updated with their latest driver.

This is really frustrating. I have Samsung Note 4 phone and the stylus/hand writing recognition works great. I was hoping to get a similar experience on the iPad. It looks like Wacom/Adonit work great on older versions of iPad.

I also tried the Truglide Pro stylus - it didn't work well either.

Apple -> Is there *any* stylus that will work on a new iPad Air 2?

After a lot of research, and trying Wacom product -- this baby solved ALL my problems.

It writes precisely, with almost no error. There is a slight learning curve, due to the design - takes a minute or two of getting used to -- but once you do, it'll be your go to pen.

From fine drawing to note taking -- I'm definitely happy with this stylus (well, the design functionality of it). Works perfect with my iPad Air 2 -- and that's after having spent $100 on the Intuos Creative Stylus 2 😟

I posted separately, but have not had a response, and as this thread seems to be somewhat active, maybe someone here has an answer . . .

I have an Air 1 - and an Adonit Jot Touch, using Noteshelf.

ALL was fine until iOS 9. Now, it is almost worthless, and the latency is terrible. I don't know what Apple did with iOS9 to change something probably in Bluetooth, but you can now hardly read my note taking.

I downloaded another app - just to see if perhaps Noteshelf was the issue - So I bought GoodNotes.

Same problem.Terrible.

Any ideas? I am willing to buy another stylus- but palm rejection is a must - it was so nice before iOS9!

I am coming from a Samsung Notes 10.1 to iPad Air 2. The leap in quality is big but the latter really lags when hand writing matters.

I am using Bamboo fineline styluis from wacom, promptly available in Brazil And tested all the recommended app's. Noteshelf performs well, Goodnotes has been abandoned after erratic behavior when changing paper from plain white to checked paper.

BAmboo paper, Smart Note, Zoom Notes are useless. The App Concepts have been responding well but I am still learning how to use the drawing tools.

One issue for with Oneshelf is the window zoom.I have to move around too oftenly when mixing text, equations And simple sketches as you do when doing math or physics.

Notability is my app of choice when in a meeting. Of course I don't use the stylus in this case.

Thank you for your recommendation. I went to the Lyntec website and they now have a rechargable Apex. So I chose that one. It arrived more quickly than I expected, even with free shipping and was packaged with obvious care.

I LOVE it. The "anti-palm-mark" (whatever you call it) works well. This was one of my biggest issues. I have residual developmental delay in my hands and so I have very specific needs for writing instruments. This pen does the trick. The grip is thick enough to suit my needs for writing legibly, and yet I can adjust the line thickness of the "line" enough that I can write legibly on the graph paper provided in Noteshelf. The combination of the graph paper and pen will come in very handy in my Calculus class.

Thank you again for this great recommendation. 😎

My worst experience was contacting Apple support (May 2016) and not being able to speak with a 'genius' who understood the question, much less had an answer. I called Apple. They had no idea what I was talking about and kept telling me they couldn't recommend brand names. My nice Mother's Day gift of an Air 2 did not accept any of the rubber tipped styli I had been using with my old Nexus.

Best Buy recommended the white Apple Pencil. It does not work. I returned it and they recommended a Bamboo 2. It worked, but poorly.

I am using a micro mesh tipped stylus successfully. It is sort of fat to work with fine art programs and needs to hit the screen with a lot more pressure than I am comfortable with. Otherwise, check out The Friendly Swede for inexpensive mesh tipped styli that will sort of serve until the technology catches up with the Air 2 ...or else Apple plays 'gotcha' and offers a new improved pad screen which leaves us holding five hundred dollars worth of 'too bad for you...suckers!'.

I use a stylus on my regular iPad called Apex. This stylus is rechargeable and it uses a tech that allows it to have a fine point and yet works with capacitive devices. It is smooth and it works really well for handwriting and drawing in Procreate. There is no pressure sensitivity as such, but it is a much better option than the fat rubber stylus". If you want something cheaper and better than the rubber look for a fabric tipped stylus. The Apex can be found on Amazon for about $30 dollars.
