Seriously? You read nothing from the thread you posted in?

You cannot update an iPhone 4 beyond iOS 7.1.2

You cannot update to iOS 8

You cannot update to iOS 9

You cannot update to iOS 10

You cannot update to iOS 11

You cannot update to any iOS version after 7.1.2

Hopefully, that should clear up some things

Maybe it's time you had a discussion with Harry Potter & Co., because they are pretty much your only chance of getting an iPhone 4 to run anything over iOS 7.1.2. But since they are proficient in magic, maybe they can do something. Short of that, your out of luck, since the rest of us don't know how to magically make your device into something that it is not now, nor will ever be. If you absolutely cannot live without the latest games and other nonsense that you must have iOS 8 or above for, then you are going to have to simply purchase a device that can accommodate your wants and desires. Otherwise, you are going to have to work on finding a way to be happy with what you have. Since what you have is far more than many people in the world have.

The same way it's a trap from Microsoft that Windows 10 does not run on an original IBM PC? Give me a break! You have a 6 year old phone that was discontinued 4 years ago. Even if it supported the features in iOS 8 it wouldn't run, it would crawl. The reason a Galaxy 4s continues to work is that it is never updated. So the security vulnerabilities in it (over 300) are never fixed.

Or are you saying that Apple should never update their hardware?

My iPhone 4 runs fine. So does my iPad 1. They are limited to what they can do, but they do what they were designed to do most excellently.

I did purchase an iPhone 5s when iOS 8 came out, however, in order to take advantage of the current innovations provided in iOS 8. It is currently running the latest iOS.

And let's compare apples to apples, my friend. GalaxyS4 was introduced in 2013. The iPhone that was introduced in 2013 - iPhone 5s, continues to run current iOS software, and will continue to do so at least through iOS 11.

The iPhone 4 was introduced in 2010. The equivalent Galaxy that was produced in 2010 was the Galaxy S. Looks like the highest OS that it can run is Android 2.3.5 "Gingerbread" (whooops). Galaxy S4 runs the current Android 5.0.1 "Lollipop".

Apples to apples, my friend....
