I have tried changing the Mouse Double Click Preference to both Max Fast and Max Slow, but nothing helped. Ive been using this setup for over a year. Reinstalled clean when upgrading to Yosemite last week, and this has been happening.

Macbook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)

OS X Yosemite 10.10.1

Logitech B100 USB Mouse

Any ideas on how to keep this annoyance from happening? It's driving me crazy.

(also have a Deathadder) GUYS I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND SEARCHED FOR DAYS AND FOUND A FIX, RESET THE PRAM

First shut down your mac

Next Locate the the Command, Option, R, and P keys (Windows Key and Alt key with a windows layout)

Now when you turn the computer on u must quickly press all 4 buttons and hold them down, You'll hear the startup sound and the computer shut off you want to keep holding them until you hear the startup sound again and then let go and enjoy 🙂 hope this worked for you guys
