App store not downloading at 10.6.8

Hi,

I installed 10.6.4 and then updated it to 10.6.8 - the app store would not download any apps - this applies to the purchased apps, as well as new ones etc. After I press the download or install button nothing happens - no error notifications etc... the computer and the App Store app does not freeze I have tried following options, but none of those helped helped:

- Clicked on the "Reload Page" in the App Store

- reset payment detail and address in the account settings

- checked for unfinished downloads in the App Store - it says all purchased apps are downloaded...

- signed out and signed in the App Store app

- tried to switch from my App Store - which is German - to the US store and then back...

- installed the 10.6.8 combo update.

- removed the App Store app and then did the 10.6.8 combo update

- reset the memory (when you hold the option+apple button+P+R while restarting the computer)

- installed the Java updates as well as iTunes updates

- erased the partition and reinstalled the 10.6.4, then tried 10.6.6 combo, 10.6.7 combo and as I said 10.6.8 combo updates - every time trying out the app store with every single version

- tried to upgrade to Yosemite via the "updates" section in the Mac App Store, but nothing happens after I press the download button either

My Mac 21,5" is iMac11,2 Intel Core i3 3.06 GHz 4 GB

My goal is actually to download the Lion (or Maverics) from the App Store and install it - I purchased it a while ago and then upgraded to Maverics and recently to Yosemite - the later made me unhappy and I cleaned my Mac, erased the partition and installed the 10.6.4 from the OS X install CD which came with my Mac.

All the apps I ever purchased are listed in the "Purchases" section of the App Store, including the Lion and Maverics, so the App Store works as such, but as I described it would not let me download anything....

Same problem from France with the app store, I wanted to update to Yosemite from my Snow Leopard 10.6.8, I click on the icon it becomes grey and..... nothing.

I tried to download Evernote (for a test), nothing.

I tried everything I saw on forum online, nothing worked.

I called Apple, we tried also a lot of stuff for one hour, nothing worked.

She put me on hold to speak to another tech, he said that I need to wait for an update so I guess the problem is coming from Apple.

To all about buttons etc.

If you still have a version of Safari that has the activity window - you will see on this site's load that sometimes not all items make it even though you can navigate the screen. Some time out, some can't connect.

Did note when I tried the app store that you can't see what is loading or going on - so you may be getting the screen but not the actual underpinnings - load may have stopped or is not finished.

If you really want to take it to the top techs - keep saying "if you can't help me send me to someone who can"

Sometimes Top Techs will give out a generic answer - its on our side and we are taking care of it so please wait - because the majority of people may not understand the technical details - such as problems with power, cooling system, underground lines flooding somewhere, etc.

same problem on mac mini with snow leopard.

I wanted to download the mountain lion that I just bought.

but the download button just becomes grey and nothing happens.

none of the install button for other apps work either.

Erasing the partition and reinstalling snow leopard from disk didn't help, upgrading to 10.6.8 didn't help.

contacted customer support but haven't heard anything yet.

App store is working again but if you try to download an app you paid for it will only give you the latest version. Which hosed me completely UNTIL I had a tech support guy tell me I can just move final cut, motion and compressor to my applications folder on my mac pro via a portable drive from my macbook pro. And just like that I'm now back in order. And in a final note.. if you have 10.6.8 on your system, run that until your system dies. it's the most stable OS they've made yet.
