Is the new Mac Mini (late 2014) with i7 dual core hash, 16MB and 1 TB fusion drive a sufficient computer to run Final Cut Pro X without any problems?

IIsn't there a system on the internal drive or did you wipe it? Use the internal drive be with you library and medis on the external. It's never going to be fast, but it should be quicker. You're losing a lot of graphics power as well for your monitor I'm sure.
No I have not wiped the internal drive I still kept a copy of Yosemite on it just as it was when I was using it before.
Yes I have been experiencing a lot of image tearing and just all around sluggish GPU performance.
