Is this a known bug, When I connect my iPod 7th gen, I can see icon comes-up for 1 sec in itunes and then gone. iPod is visible in finder but not in iTunes. Is there any work around

Exactly the same problem here. Thinking about to reinstall my MacBook. Could someone from Apple please give some preview on when this issue could be fixed, or when?

I was using Yosemite Beta, Migrating away from it solved the problem. You don't need to format. Just download the non beta version from the App store and overwrite the Beta by simply installing.
I finally got chance to reinstall 10.10.1 and now everything is working fine. Unfortunately I had to opt out of the Yosemite Beta Test Program. Once 10.10.2 is a public release, I will rejoin the Beta Program.
Does anyone know if 10.10.2 beta 4 fixes this problem?
Turns out in my case, it was the Nano itself!
