I have on my macbook air 2 iphoto libraries. 1. Iphoto library and 2. Iphoto library (original). The capacity of the iphoto library is twice als much as with command-I. Can I delete the original?

I have in finder 2 iphoto-libraries. 1. the Iphoto library (with a current date) and 2. the Iphoto-library (original) with a date of last year, when I set back the library from the time capsule. In finder is the capacity of the library twice as much as the capacity from the pictures in finder.

I want to make space available at my macbook air.

Someone knows if I can delete the original library?

thnx 4 replying. I can not open both photo-libraries. So I can not take a screenshot from it. Sorry

We just wanted to see, what the icons of the two libraries are looking like in the Finder - to check, if one of them is an alias. You do not nee dot open them in iPhoto.

One more note - if you are syncing your photo library with iTunes to mobile devices, you may have an iPod Photo Cache folder, that you can remove, see this link: iTunes: Understanding the iPod Photo Cache folder
