Why does it show me GMT time zone on my calendar when I add anything on my google calendar?

I use google calendars and I sync it to my iPhone, but when I make events it shows me GMT time zone. It only does it when I make events thru my phone and not my PC. How do I fix this?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2

"If you don't like it don't use Google Calendar." This isn't a very helpful response. We have shared family calendars, and some family members do not have Apple devices. So we HAVE to use Google Calendar since they can't access (and edit/change) calendar entries on a private iCloud calendar on their devices. If you can tell me how to share with full edit access an iCloud calendar with someone on an Android or other device, then I'd like to know.

Until then, I'm forced to use a Google calendar so other family members (a parent in another household, specifically) can utilize the family calendar. AND we have to deal with the GMT issue now on iOS 8.

If you're having problems with your GOOGLE calendar, you should contact GOOGLE.

And if you want to have a shared iCloud Calendar, editable by everyone, then make a new Apple ID, sign into that Apple ID under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars as an iCloud email, enable Calendar, and then anyone with that Apple ID & Password can add, modify or delete those events, either from an iOS device that uses that email, or from www.icloud.com.

Or, read this article: iCloud: Calendar sharing overview

Please everyone read everything I've written rather than the first sentence thank you.

Now if you don't mind me asking, did you hear back from Apple for instructions on how to fix that?

I know about the whole Google Calendar problem and I experienced it myself, but that's not why I'm here.

All the Emails I've recieved from Apple are in the GMT Timezone,

so when dealing with things like a check book and reciepts makes it the task a bigger pain in the ***.

Any real help would be greatly appreciated.

As your problem has nothing to do with the Google calendar issue posting your unrelated question on this 6 month old thread will not get it much attention. It would be better to create a new message.

I'm also not quite sure what the issue is. Apple sends emails to people around the world; they have no idea where you are. So they timestamp all messages using a UTC clock. As do many other businesses, and a lot of individuals (I do). Your mail client, the program that you use to read your mail, should know your time zone, and should automatically translate the UTC timestamp to local time. If it isn't doing that, you need to review its settings.
