Hmmm. That's strange, peppo. Ken Burns works fine
here importing to an MPEG-4 project.
Has anything changed with your video system? iMovie 6
requires a Quartz Extreme-compatible graphics card to
use the Ken Burns Effect.

If the problem occurs only on an MPEG-4 project and
not other types, you might try creating your clips in
a DV project and importing the clips to the MPEG-4
project.
Hello
I also have some problem using Ken Burns effect in iMovie 6. Actually, when I click on the "Apply" button of the "Photo settings", the photo is added to the timeline but the rendering doesn't start (no progress with the red bar). Additionnaly when I want to save the project, I get an error message telling me that there are 2 active rendering process, but in "Actvity Monitor", iMovie is only eating 2 or 3%.
The rendering also stalls when I'm adding a photo directly from the Finder to the Timeline.
I got the same erron with MPEG-4 and DV projects, and I'm sure it was working fine a couple of weeks ago.
So I tried :
- repairing the permissions
- removing any third-party effect plug-in
- trashing any iMovie related file (app, prefs, plug-ins, support files..) and re-installing, then trying version 6, 6.0.2 and 6.0.3
- reading your last answer I also checked the Quartz Extrem-compatibility of my video card (Radeon9200) -> that's OK
That did
NO effect !?
I got the same error with MPEG-4 and DV projects, and I'm sure it was working fine a couple of weeks ago. I'm suspecting a Quartz or Quicktime bug caused by a recent system update.
Thanks for any suggestion.
