headache from iPhone

My wife recently purchased an iPhone 5, and immediately got headaches from using it. She had to return it. I just got an iPhone 6, and feel pressure in my head when it is nearby. (I tried a double blind experiment to make sure it wasn't my imagination, and it isn't.) Apparently my wife and I are sensitive to the radiation, even though we've had no problems with some other mobile phones. The SAR for iPhones is particularly high.

Have other people experienced this problem? Does a Pong case redirect a noticeable amount of radiation?

Thanks for any insights you have about this.

I don't normally post things online, and it's sad to see the insulting responses. To briefly respond:

- I have not posted this elsewhere. Where do you get any info that I have?

- I most certainly do have an iPhone 6. I'm waiting for a Pong case that I ordered to arrive, to see if it reduces the effects.

- The effects of electromagnetic cell phone radiation, including headaches, are documented in many places. Here's one: ehhi.org/reports/cellphones/health_risks.shtml ,(with a www. in front of it)

There is still are many unknowns, but there is no question that there are some effects. A couple of the comments here said that if I felt the radiation it would cause much more serious effects. The evidence so far is that cell phone radiation affects hormones and neural activity. Whether there are more serious effects is still an open question.

- Unfortunately most doctors know nothing about these effects. As with many new hazards, it often takes decades for the evidence to accumulate and reach mainstream medicine.

- Thanks for the suggestion to turn off the noise cancellation. Regarding the noise canceling, I believe that would affect me only if I'm listening to sound from the phone. I'm pretty sure I feel it even when I'm not listening, but I might be wrong.

If you're truly concerned about this, then shut off your computer. Shut off your TV. Sell your possessions and move to a cabin in the woods off the grid somewhere.

You can take your tinfoil hat with you, though, you'll need it to protect you from alien signals.

Just because someone said it on the Internet does not make it true.

Do cell phones give off radiation? Yes. So do cell phone towers. So do power lines. Is there any proof that they harm anyone? No Not that's been accepted.

The only case you're going to find that can actually protect you from the radiation coming from a cell phone would have to be made of lead. Of course, that would also protect the phone from receiving the cellular signal, but at least your brain won't melt...

Indeed there are evidence available that prove the fact Cell Phone radiation can cook brain. You do not need to go to doctor. Just get phone with low SAR rate. Otherwise use Air tube Headset or speaker phone. Atleast you should keep 30 to 50 mm away from head while speaking.

There is no credible evidence that "Cel Phone radiation" does any such thing. If you truly believe your brain is being "cooked" you REALLY need to see a doctor as soon as possible.

And, in fact, there is considerable evidence that this is not a risk. Considering that there are billions of people around the world using hand-held cell phones on a daily basis, if it were true there would be billions of cooked brains. There aren't any. In fact, the incidence of brain cancers has decreased over the 25 years that cell phones have been in use. So maybe cell phone emissions are good for you 😉

So the lesson is never use 9 cell phones at the same time. I'll take that under consideration. But the whole show is utter BS; fake; FUD; staged. And Gupta is known worldwide as a quack.

If you keep this up I'll start posting videos of people who were abducted by aliens.

Have you notice that the people who know the least make the most outrageous claims?

OK, why it's a fake. 9 cell phones. At most (meaning a very low signal strength) their output power is 0.5 watts. So the total power being put out by those 9 phones cannot exceed 4.5 watts (1/2 of 9). Roughly half the power emitted by an incandescent nightlight. So go get a nightlight and a bottle of water and see how long it takes to boil a bottle of water. Heat is heat, whether it's from a bulb or a cell phone. Really basic physics.
