How to Skype with OS X 10.6.8?

I will try the "Skype" workaround that was suggested back in 2016 for OS 10.6.8 and see if it remedies my own Skype problem with OS 10.8.5. I will report back later ... thanks for the suggestion.

I had the same problem, you can use Skype on the web via your web browser as well.

Hi Apfelmuseins, it works, but you just end up on the Skype website, where you have to install a plugin, which needs Mac 10.9.!!!?

You can use latest versions of Skype 6.15 for 10.6.8 https://www.apps-mac.com/downloads/skype_6.15.0.335-mac-10.7.5.dmg

I switched to ZOOM. It works fine with 10.5.8.
