Since upgrading to Yosemite my Apple Bluetooth Mouse disconnects continuously

Seems like Yosemite broke something in Bluetooth... In my case, our MacMini is used as the family entertainment center, using a BT keyboard and BT mouse, all Apple designed products. The BT mouse continually disconnects and reconnects and it is effectively broken. The keyboard seems fine.

I have tried basic debugging like re-pairing and switching BT off and on - just basic debug - without success.

I am considering downgrading to Mavericks, but hoping Apple will put out a patch soon.

Isn't this is rather basic functionality which should be tested and caught by Apple QA before it leaves the building?

Please fix. I know a lot of people are talking about this bug. Any idea if a fix is in the works or already posted?

Thank you,

Rick B

I have a mac mini with an apple bluetooth track pad and keyboard. Since Yosemite the keyboard would randomly disconnect either during sleep or after shut down. I would have to reset and repair the keyboard to get it to work. Simply hitting "connect" wouldn't do it. I finally found a solution this morning which a simple reboot allowed it to reconnect. I went into systempreferences/network and deleted the bluetooth pan and then rebooted. The keyboard reconnected. I hope this fixes this problem.

This worked, but for me it was a first generation Apple Wireless keyboard (A1016) and a Mac Mini (Mid 2011 or Macmini5,2) running Yosemite 10.10.4. It had been fine then after shutting down the computer and leaving it off over night the computer couldn't detect the keyboard when it was rebooted the next morning.

I did have to reboot after I turned off the bluetooth to get the prompt from Airdrop to turn bluetooth back on. Once I did that I didn't have to follow the rest of the steps because the Mac Mini saw the keyboard and it connected without a problem.
