how do you disable audio recording in the text messages?

When holding my iphone 6+ idly in my right hand (and I am right handed) my thumb rests at the bottom right corner of the screen - an accidental swipe up from there is a common enough occurrence. If I had just sent a text and forgot to hit the home button or sleep my phone (which does happen occasionally) and the gesture in question happened - it is possible that I might inadvertently record a conversation and send it unknowingly. This could be potentially (and was in actuality) VERY awkward at best! 🙂

Is there currently any way to turn this feature off or move the location of the button?

If not, is a solution in the works?

If not can I suggest that Apple get on that ASAP?!?!?

Talk about your technology potentially detonating an emotional bomb in your life... I would think that from a business perspective the liability factor would be high enough that it would be a priority to fix this "bug"/oversight on Apple's part. 😮

Any and all help and/or suggestions are appreciated - I am not willing to "jail-break" my phone and I need a solution other than "be more careful" or "change how you hold your phone" (obviously in the meantime I will have to work on both of those things).

Thanks!

I guess my confusion stems from the fact that you say holding your phone in your right hand that you can barely get your thumb "down to that corner," which makes absolutely no sense, because as I hold my phone in my right hand, the button for recording an audio message and sending it is right where my thumb NATURALLY RESTS. So either your phone, or your thumb, are unnaturally positioned in relationship to your hand, or you were confused about which microphone I was talking about. So happy for you that this has never happened to you or anyone you know. I guess things that don't happen to you or people you know are imaginary problems, so you must naturally not believe in quite a few things. Cheers!

When I hold my phone in my right hand, the microphone is down in the lower right corner. My thumb naturally rests about at the center of the phone. To get my thumb down there, I would have to bend it in at a very sharp angle, a position I simply can't accomplish. It would also mean the phone is not held securely and I have, when I've tried to do this, have the phone drop out of my hand. The button is very easy to reach when I have the phone in my left hand (as I usually do) but not somewhere I'd hit it accidentally. There is nothing unnatural about either my thumbs or the way I hold the phone. Just because someone does something differently that you do doesn't make it "unnatural".
