The new version should popup in the App Store any moment. Here are a few early reports:

This is turning out to be a clusterf_ck for me.

After much troubleshooting & restarts it seemed that I had finally got my control surfaces going then I noticed my jog wheel didn't produce any sounds when using it as a scrub however the transport buttons would play audio just fine. Then I went to refresh everything it's all out of whack again.

Not working.

Could you ask your customer/client if their scrub is working okay please?

I'm a little disappointed in this update for Logic X. I appreciate the work put forth to innovate and create new features, but there are still a lot of bugs that have gone completely unaddressed in this update which have been present since the release of Logic 10.0. I wish Apple would prioritize making the application as flawless as possible, then augment it with new stuff. Don't keep adding floors to a house built on a flawed foundation.

And how about upgrading the Environment from the Middle Ages of Logic 7.

And how about upgrading the Environment from the Middle Ages of Logic 7.

I think there is about as much chance of that happening as Apple re-releasing Logic Pro 7.....

The environment is 'excess to requirements' these days in Apple's eyes.... I suspect.

For better or worse... Time and Logic Pro have moved on.....

Anyhow.. to provide feedback to Apple on Logic Pro.. as it's a waste of time doing so here...

Use this instead...

...or better still... read this...

Detailed and Effective Bug Reporting

...and as to why it's a waste of time commenting or 'complaining' here...

Cheers..

Has anyone noticed the bug with the plugin manager?

Whrn opening an instrument it displays all the effects. You can now load an effect into an instrument track input.

Needs addressing.... If anyone is at NAMM and gets a chance to speak to the developers that would be awesome.

Can't make mine do that....

I can see FXs that can be midi controlled... and so can be loaded into an Instrument Slot but any other FX doesn't show up in the list whenever I click on the Instrument button in a channel strip

Yes, I have the feedback link for Logic Pro memorized at this point. I wanted to take the temperature of this community about the neglected bug issue. Am I the only one feeling a little abandoned?

No.. I think most sane people would feel the same way... But, as has been said many times before here and elsewhere, the priorities with Logic and it's Dev team, have changed over the last few years and certain unfixed bugs/missing features/old features just seem to fall by the wayside...

I definitely agree with you that Apple's priorities are elsewhere, but that's the peculiar thing. Assuming Apple wants to maintain marketshare of the DAW users, the aspects of Logic that attract new, and keep existing, pro users are stability, usability, and flexibility. It's not new Mellotron sounds. I'd rather they abandon Logic altogether so at least I could prepare to switch to Cubase, instead of stringing me along to what appears to be an eventual demise.

Oh.. I don't think we are looking at the eventual demise.... I just think it's going in a different direction to what was original planned and what LP was designed to be... and in doing so, we are saying 'goodbye' to certain features that set Logic apart, like the environment as a good example.

Much like OS X is doing.........
