8.1.3 update killed my wifi

Ok, my iPhone 4S worked fine on 8.1.2. After today's update to 8.1.3, my wifi is no longer working. The wifi button under setting is grayed out and disabled!!!

I have done a complete restore from iTunes and set it up as a new iPhone - wifi disabled and grayed out.

Restored from my backup - same thing, wifi disabled and button grayed out.

So now I have a iPhone 4S with no wifi.

Apple OS updates really ***** these days.

Anyone has the same experience with the 8.1.3 update on an iPhone 4S? Suggestions on how to fix it?

iPad mini - updated to 8.1.3 this morning - left it all day (without using it)

My daughter was using it for about 30 minutes tonight, and then complained I turned the wireless off on her. I looked closer, and the Wifi enable option has been disabled.

Tried all the suggestions - the reset network, the reinstall IOS. I contacted Apple online support - they had me do the same. No go.

Tomorrow I head to the Apple Store for my appointment with a Genius. This iPad is OOW - I hope they can help. I don't want to hear anything about "old hardware" - I have 1st gen iPod touches that still have WIFI working...

I am having the same issue with my IPhone 5c. The phone updated last week, worked fine till I left the house for a minute and now no connection. I've done everything recommended by Apple with no return. I've only had this phone for about 6 months and Verizon is saying it's an Apple issue. I don't know what to do at this point. The ********* part of all of this is that we are now forced to pay for more data if we want to use the phone without overage charges.

But the phenomenon did continue after some days and i ran out of my 500Mb 4G Surf-Pot and had to make a hard reboot in airplane mode again to enable wifi.

Strange that this wifi issue have been hunting Apple for quite a while.

I always had to run my old Mac book Pro (Snow Leopard) on cable do to wifi problems,

and now the same wifi issue turns up on Yosemite and IOS8

How many Apple engineers goes to replace a bulb.😝

I was unaware that the wifi was not working until my service provider sent me a message about usage! Anyway I had tried resetting the wifi as mentioned also turning on airplane mode and doing a hard reset (Holding down the sleep and home buttons) as mentioned, turning off airplane mode still the wifi was disabled. I found what worked was to put the phone in airplane mode, then hold down the sleep button and power off the phone. Leave the phone off for say 5min, power back on when I turned off airplane mode the wifi button became active and I was able to log back into my home network. Good luck.
