My screen broke and I can not unlock my iphone to back up and send it to assistance.
How can I make the backup?

If the screen is not responding you cannot unlock it, sorry.
All you can do is use the last backup when the device is returned to you. Do you normally backup to iTunes or iCloud?
On your Mac/ PC 'iTunes > Preferences, Devices tab' will list the saved backups mouse over them to see the date (if it isn't already shown).
For iCloud backups on a Mac look in 'System Preferences > iCloud', there should be a 'manage' button that will list the storage used. Look at that to see the iCloud backup date.
It is the reboot that threw me off

Same issue here...screen is broken and I'm trying to backup information but iTunes is telling me to enter passcode on device but I CAN'T 😕. I've spoken to 2 techs and also a relative who works for apple. I've been told that there is nothing that can be done not even at the store level. Although I've never liked the thought of backing up to icloud...I have backed up to my computer before but somehow the backup file was deleted
I love my iPhone but its so frustrating that something that could be so simple is very complicated with this phone....how about ENABLING THE OPTION TO PUT THE DEVICE PASSCODE INTO THE COMPUTER like some androids do
